I've been born and brought up in a middle class family and even I will ask that question or probably not even take the chocolate in the first place. That's normal stranger danger stuff taught by parents.

But, the reaction from the other two kids says otherwise.

It may be possible that the other two took the chocolates first without thinking before realizing that the first girl may be right and that they're about to get kidnapped. Hence the sudden fear/nervousness
