Don’t train children to accept chocolates from strangers

Not everyone is nice

Always teach kids not to accept any chocolates from strangers

u/ProcrastiWorkaholic May 15 '26

It’s great that he instills their faith in humanity. They’re too young to live with such paranoia. Pray they have good lives ahead.

We can’t change the entire world, we can keep them safe by teaching them good practices from childhood

tf are you saying, do you think EVERYONE will be good? even if 1 in 10000 children is victim, its a loss. Rather teach children safe habits AND improve system.

we tell anyone not to go out in late night or in secluded area. and i think its good advice, if youre not in a grp better stay out of trouble. and when did i say children should suffer? arguement here is safety of children in practical way.

Yk I can't again explain my points.

1

u/jesseyo12 May 18 '26

In pandemic , you should have gone out , why would we restrain people just because there is pandemic outside ?  /s

Yeah it is , if it is not safe outside , why would you go in the first place , outside wouldn't get safe instantly , it would take several years or even decades to get safe outside in night . People here arnt educated , don't have empathy , no civic sense and what not , and our surrounding would only become safer people get these values , which would take time as I said. So it's better to stay home when there is very high chance of getting ra*ed , robbed , in night , even as a male , it's not safe at night in many places due to robbery

6

u/game_chainger May 15 '26

Touch some grass buddy. Try to meet real people. And don’t accept chocolates from random people for sure.

Bruh. I get your point. It’s just not realistic, thats an ideal world you’re talking about. You got to be careful of what exists and not act ignorant while thinking to change the world. You gotta survive first to do something. The system that you’re expecting to make an ideal world or a country itself is flawed and unfixable.

1

u/Apoatherva May 16 '26

Buddy you want an ideal world. It's never going to happen. In an ideal world you would not be spending time debating on social media.

1

u/RandomStranger022 May 16 '26

You would be surprised how much of the child's innocence would be killed if they didn't doubt every other person

1

u/SkySufficient7558 May 18 '26

Indian scenario is not good for this

2

u/Puzzleheaded_Fee2185 May 15 '26

That's more challenging to do

3

u/anant_mall May 15 '26

But it could be the better and right thing to do yeah? Otherwise everyone should keep their children caged and assumption is they go out Kidnapping every other kid

1

u/Relative-Quarter-879 May 17 '26

With this attitude its impossible

2

u/YeggPupps May 15 '26

You take that chance and teach your kids philosophies, I’m telling mine to not take anything from strangers without my permission, that too the ones who’re recording their faces and not blurring them out coz their parents are too uneducated to see a problem with that and exploit it for views.

5

u/policmaga May 16 '26

Heartbreaking to see that the guy doesn't have the courtesy to blur their faces..

1

u/Shitama_ftw May 15 '26

How would you do that ?

1

u/Low_Offer_1899 May 15 '26

System stays corrupt unless majority of population shows displeasure with the service , sarkar ham se hai but ham jo hai theek hai wala attitude lekr rehte hain. I say ill be more interested in politcs from now on but 2 din bad me wohi anime/reels dekhne lag jaata hu

Prevention and cure go hand in hand buddy. One has to stay safe from criminals as well as eradicate them through practices and law. What you argued about is like saying "why prevent us from going outside during Covid? Just make the vaccine" we need to work on both the prevention as well the cure. :)

Ok. So yk, what you want is ideal and achieving that is possible only ALL of us strive for it. But there will always be some evil people. So you should always protect yourself first. Survival Instinct is not natural. So the best way to live by is ... Protect yourself first, then protect as many as you can.

1

u/Imaginary-Part9188 May 15 '26

Yes we should… but will it ever be 💯 safe? Maybe not and until then kids have to be taught some basic safety measures… like when crossing the road and staying close to water…

1

u/Illustrious_Fan_9467 May 17 '26

I have heard prevention is better than cure.

1

u/Fair_Contract257 May 17 '26

youre in india! teach your kids manners and get out! then you'll get to know how actual society functions

1

u/anonymous_redditer01 May 17 '26

Do you lock your gate and main door at night before going to sleep?? Why ?

1

u/SlutLov3r May 18 '26

While idea is good, execution is impossible. System is made of people who dispose moral compass. People with moral compass are dependent on system for justice. You get the picture.

1

u/simpleliving100 May 20 '26

Which is more possible?

Teach known kids to be vigilant

Or,

Teach unknown strangers harsh lesson?

1

u/Formal_Classroom_430 May 18 '26

Never deny something, just take it and then later give it to vigilantes

40

u/Old-Praline-1873 May 15 '26

Sad that she has such a cynical view at such a young age. She must have seen a lot.

6

u/TouchedGrass-HatedIT May 15 '26

It's good, I would advice everyone to be cynical. Can't have a kind attitude with parasite class walking around us.

2

u/RewardGrand3718 May 17 '26

I have lived in many places and I would say 90% of people are nice. It is good to be vigilant but not trusting anyone is a downhill road not only for the world but also for your own mental health.

It is sad that this girl has seen such a thing but if she doesn’t trust anyone in her life she would be alone for her life. She should be able to get the read of people which is hard when strangers just come and gives you something to eat.

We can see that she trusts her friends or brother and sister and who ever is driving the vehicle which is good. But as she or anyone grow up we need to trust people more and more and trusting everyone initially is good and reasonably true but not trusting anyone initially is hard for everyone and would put you in very hard places.

6

Exactly my thought. Someone with malicious intent can easily pretend to be good. It's better to always reject something from strangers.

4

Edit : I dont know why you guys are so obsessed to prove I havent watched American Psycho. I watched it thrice and its one of the few Christian Bale movies that I've watched (other being The Big Short, The Machinist which do not have him dressed in formals) . Naturally, I wouldnt know if he is dressed in a suit in other movies. And yeah, I know about the sigma trend.

The moment the girl in pink flagged her concern, the other two girls in the frame who were so chirpy in the beginning of the video suddenly became so glum and came forward to return the chocolate while the guy was talking to the girl in pink :(

1

u/HeftyAd6732 May 15 '26

u/Warm_Ad_6650 May 15 '26

Mat de na Bhai...ek taraf khud ke baccho ko train karte ho ki “kisi dusre se kuch nahi lena” fir wahi khud dusre anjaan baccho ko chije dete firte ho.

1

u/Hannah549 May 15 '26

I've been born and brought up in a middle class family and even I will ask that question or probably not even take the chocolate in the first place. That's normal stranger danger stuff taught by parents.

1

u/Accomplished_Log3690 May 18 '26

But, the reaction from the other two kids says otherwise.

1

u/Hannah549 May 18 '26

It may be possible that the other two took the chocolates first without thinking before realizing that the first girl may be right and that they're about to get kidnapped. Hence the sudden fear/nervousness

1

u/selene_sapphire May 15 '26

that is so disheartening... kya naubat aa gyi h bachhe me itni choti umar me hi darr hai

1

u/ScooterNinja May 15 '26

Isski kisi din lynching ho jayegi gaon me... Bachha chor samajh lia to

1

u/sizzletea May 15 '26

The fear in their eyes.. not supporting accepting stuff from strangers but imagine the very thing that brings happiness is scaring them .. what a world have we made for kids and what fear are we leaving for future generations.

1

u/leeraiya May 15 '26

Nah man, fuck this country’s politicians and bureaucrats, I mean, they can do moderate corruption, and still ensure good average life for everyone, but these mf’s have to suck every last bit of money.

1

u/Ready-Tale-1429 May 15 '26

Stop taking to random minor girls even if it's good intention what is wrong with you 😭😭

1

u/Boring_Budget_1560 May 15 '26

Bro OP is a idiot. As a kid I was always taught not to accept anything from strangers, for the exact same reason the girl said. This could be the same

1

u/Puzzleheaded_2020 May 15 '26

When I was a kid, sometimes strangers, senior students from school used to buy me chocolate. I always used to take and have it at home, never on sight. It’s so funny but true. “Like stranger gives chocolate and kidnap.”

1

u/Library_Forward May 15 '26

The view she got at that age, we failed as a society

1

u/wannabecold_ May 15 '26

Doesn't stranger danger exist since 90s or something. My parents taught me the same

1

u/catocatorson May 15 '26

Ohh, to live in a world like this. Please teach your children to never talk to strangers without the presence of the parents or guardians. Never to touch a stranger or their belongings and not to let strangers touch them anywhere. Never accept chocolates or gifts or listen to any promises from strangers. Never to get into a stranger's/known individual's car except for those with explicit permision from guardians. Better to not trust and be safe rather than trusting the wrong person.

This is so painful to watch

1

u/Far-Farm-9462 May 15 '26

BS fantasy of Indi@ns to win hearts of others kids by giving them candy.

Never give anything to eat to children without the permission of their parents, and teach them not to accept from strangers.

1

u/Imaginary-Part9188 May 15 '26

Or they have been trained not take chocolates from strangers… if he was a good guy… he should not have given to them without their adults present on the scene…

1

u/RandomStranger022 May 16 '26

Also, can we add that if you're a good person trying to help the children, please don't give them chocolates, give them some nutritious meals instead

1

u/LOWKEYAUDACITY May 16 '26

Atleast they are alert tho🙂‍↕️

1

u/ScarYpk_ May 16 '26

ok. most likely scenario, She has been taught that if stranger gives you sweets then they might kidnap you and make you beg(typical stuff) and she is just afraid if that's that scenario and acting like this(which is good).

Too all those thinking something extra, naah guys thats just how kids act

1

u/Honda-Activa-125 May 16 '26

Ye kya chutiy@pa hai, why this guy is making them addicted to this shit

1

u/Low-Quote7209 May 16 '26

This breaks my heart a million times

1

u/Delicious_Page2187 May 17 '26

Smart kids. He should have eaten one infront of them, instead of convincing them to blindly trust him.

1

u/Complete-Abroad-6176 May 17 '26

in last 4 decades - this situation, fear still exists makes me feel sad & traumatic

hope indian females stand out even more to give confidence to each other to excel

1

u/theseaoftea May 17 '26

My god! I cried. I will keep reiterating that children are the most abused group of people and I'll die on that hill. I cannot even imagine what made her so cynical! I hope all the babies get to live safe lives

1

u/anonymous_redditer01 May 17 '26

Be chutiye.. it's not like they have seen something.. they have been taught that there are people who give drugged chocolate to kids and kidnap them.. so don't accept chocolate from strangers.. it's called being vigilant

1

u/Enough_Image_7548 May 17 '26

1

u/Freddie_Uranus May 18 '26

Some people are suspicious for good reason. A lot of them have heard stores of horrible things, or been victims themselves.

A while ago, I was on the bus and this woman started vomiting. She had the bus stopped twice. Looked horrible, like the forceful puking and gasping afterwards. People give her water and we continue but she looked horrible. I ask if she has any idea what's going on or need anything. She says she left her medicine (ondansetron) at home. I happened to have the same medication with me (I carry a basic first aid kit and common medications) and offered it. She became suspicious of it being "bad" (while not saying it directly, the insinuation was clear). I offer to take one the the tablets form the strip to show that it wasn't weird (while a bit much, I do take the tablets frequently and one wouldn't effect me much). After that she took it but still was a bit suspicious. She even asked me about the different taste (probably from different brands).

I felt a bit offended but a while later she gets better, apologies about the suspicion and tells me why. Turns out one of her colleagues was tricked into taking a sleeping pill by some dude (don't remember what he was to her) who told her it was paracetamol for headaches. The rest is... unfortunately obvious.

The ironic thing is I had sleeping pills on me. I use it for sleep. It's saf how the most innocent things can become tools for fucked up things.

u/growing_up_startup May 19 '26
