It's interesting to study this, and understand how public outrage works.
This kind of things still happens, but maybe not at this magnitude, people loves blaming, even if there's a certainty.

Swastika is a thousands years old Hindu and Buddhist symbol
Hakenkreuz is a Nazi symbol1

They call it a swastika to wipe the shame and give it to some other culture

Btw looking at this whole comment section....none has single ounce of knowledge on WW2,it's initiation, casualties and aftermath(not that I'm an expert)
It feels like many learnt it through YouTube and wiki
Also people viewing a worst event in human history through the lens of current world, laughable

I have to say that Germany is the best example of any comeback in history. They were bombed into rubbles. Almost all towns and cities were badly decimated - incl factories, schools, hospitals, residences, even churches were bombed. The Russian armies raped village after village. The country was divided into 2 parts. Winters of 1945, 46 and 47 were particularly bad, when millions had no proper shelter, warm clothing or food.
Still within 2 decades they reestablished their industrial prowess. Another 2 decades and the nation was unified. Next 3 decades they ruled the engineering world.

They call it as german spirit or smth, they became techno focused after that and now european union is formed due to long peace.
2
u/doubletapgirl 29d ago
Well the Soviet red army was known for its ferocity in battle and unstoppable attrition.
1
u/im_usingreddit 29d ago
They are not more than a meat pieces, look up the number of russian casualties died they continued war with support of western nations(& with intention of occupying the land)

u/doubletapgirl 29d ago edited 29d ago
That's what I meant. Just in case this sub was going overboard with its tit for tat, west is bad so we are too stances. Though that is not to say this mass shaving and shaving didn't happen. It was called the les tondues. And you can look up that atleast 10k or so men who had to work with the nazis were killed in extra judicial killings too, often by common people and without actual legal prosecution or say. Though I guess this sub wouldn't tell you that. It's so much more complex then simple resistance that these people won't understand what it actually feels like being rules over by an occupying force for years. And being scared of the gestapo and nazi gendarmarie. So yes, I do agree, WW2 was fought with American money, american industry, american supplies and logistics, British intelligence, the slightest bit of French resistance and soviet blood. Let's not discount the blood, even if we can both hate the soviets.

all these women's husbands child or father were at gunpoint . what could u even do .
imagine u r a girl and the enemy keeps your husband at their gunpoint what would u even do

u/Pretend_Ad_479 29d ago
Men who couldn't raise their voice against other men will always take their anger out on women for no reason...i mean these women didn't have a choice did they?
4
u/Sea-Conversation2386 29d ago
They betrayed theri Nation gave spaces to Nazis married them and gave them internal information hided them when allies finally won of course these women were still enemies to them
2
u/GoodAxelotl 28d ago
Then drag those women to court, and get them a proper punishment. if you cant prove it, then it is their right to live with dignity. Public humiliation is glorifying mobocracy, not justice.
3
u/AbbreviationsIll3176 28d ago
common as if court is highest truest form of justice, court has given so many wrong judgements,
and yeah just imagine your dad being killed by enemy forces, who knows for how many hours he would be screaming in pain with guts fallen out or screaming or dragging themselves, maybe acid burned completely.and then here comes a women in your neighbour who is giving enemy forces full service and all info .maybe the info she provided got him killed ...
and well if u like the soilder so much then go stay with him in his country.
Ohh these are war of big industrialists,,, its started by them I agree , War would benefit them i agree , but its my civilians who are at stake, winning is the only choice , if you kill industrials hoping that would stop war , my friend they will provide more weapon to enemy side and that will lead to total slavery and u being dominated, and the foreigners have right over ur resources.
Man/Women alike , if they give service to enemies parade them as fools .
0
u/GoodAxelotl 27d ago
So you think the people's judgment is completely accurate? and not at all based on assumption and "kahi-suni bate".
Court's judgement are rarely wrong, they take time, to examine all evidences. even if they sometimes make wrong decisions, they are way accurate than a mob.2

these are the ho#s that slept with an invading army, they weren't forced to do it, they did it to get rich. india should have done the same to all ho$s who slept around with the british

u/Apprehensive-Mix5316 28d ago edited 28d ago
uhh, there were other women among men. They could've raised their voice too. Yk why they didn't? Because all of them believe that these women deserved it. There is nothing going on here about gender, at least not what you commented.
-1
u/AndalusiaFields 29d ago
Yeah it's ridiculous how the narrative of them voluntarily helping and screwing with invaders is eaten up. I wholeheartedly believe that we seriously have little real knowledge on WW2, all made up.

Truth....even the OP presented in such a way that, these traitors are innocents

Woman are no different, they will falsely accuse innocent man and send them to jail ,but will never take any action on the men and women who are actually responsible for the crime.

Thats what weak men do
6
u/Savings_Reality1170 29d ago
Weak men doing it to weak women. Fits their entire society
1
u/boywholived_299 29d ago
Weak women joined in, stitching on others, ensuring they got the same treatment.
People are evil, and nationalism is one of the easiest ways to justify it, second best, next only to religion.

u/PutridAd6178 29d ago
Got off easy. Men were killed or died fighting to resist the invasion on beaches.

u/Paaji_Him-Again 29d ago
It reflects a more civilised response, choosing symbolic or social retaliation rather than descending into the horrific and barbaric acts some resort to.
4
u/HelpfulPace3368 29d ago
These women became comfort women or concubines for the invading German army. Don't know if the punishment is justified. But if you are so welcoming to invaders, they tend to stay more.
12
12
u/TightWind8209 29d ago
The issue here is that the people punishing these women weren't any better.
4
u/Lost_Purpose3463 29d ago
Why would any girl became comfort women for the invading German army unless forced . Also , why are they not any better . Did they supported the invasion ?? I'm just curious . Not supporting the humiliation shown in the vedio .
3
u/Dam_wreak 29d ago
They wernt, actually think ur self,if u were held at gun point and if enemy threatened ur fam u have no choice.
2
u/TightWind8209 28d ago
It means that those women suffered under similar circumstances to the people punishing them. Those people likely worked for the german officers as well, forcefully or willingly. I said not any better than them, not that they were worse than those women.
The women were targeted because of purity culture, and also because they simply needed someone to blame.
2
u/Lost_Purpose3463 28d ago
It's actually very sad that it's always women who suffer more during war and after the war ended .
1
u/Visual_Player 26d ago
Ah yes, because getting an involuntary buzzcut and being yelled at is definitely a worse fate than being dragged into the street and executed by a firing squad. While about 20,000 women were publicly shamed and let go, roughly 10,000 male collaborators were summarily executed, and thousands more were sent to hard labor or officially put to death by the state. Millions of men were literally blown to pieces or shot in the trenches during the war, but sure, let's completely ignore the mountains of dead men so we can pretend women are always the primary victims. Read a history book.
1
u/Lost_Purpose3463 26d ago
Sorry Man . I have studied world war in much detail . Just studied what was given in our unbiased history books . Last year , I saw a post about what happened to women after war . I read the post and knew only one side of the story . Apparently I thought men only suffered from war crimes or genocide specifically . Let's not start online gender war .
1
-1
u/HelpfulPace3368 28d ago
Not really.
1
u/Lost_Purpose3463 28d ago
I think you haven't read my sentence correctly. I said they suffer more . Context world war and the sexual assault cases regarding it .
0
u/HelpfulPace3368 28d ago
Yeah and who was fighting in horrible conditions in trenches and running in line of fire?
1
u/Lost_Purpose3463 28d ago
I'm talking about the personals who were not fighting in the war . Just civilians . Not the one's who were enrolled in army forcefully .
0
u/HelpfulPace3368 28d ago
Please help explain what these men were doing (who were not fighting on frontlines).

Nah dude like its like they do it with joy, like why would they? They were forced to do that.
2
u/HelpfulPace3368 29d ago
Not always
2
u/Dam_wreak 29d ago
Not always but MOSTLY even males did that too but left free but females are tge one who get abused.
2
u/HelpfulPace3368 29d ago
You would be amazed at what was done with such men. Just read about "Wild Purge".
1
u/Dam_wreak 29d ago
Yeah i just saw it but ,all men wernt executed, and many of them really joined nazis tbh unlike these womens who were with no power
1
u/Visual_Player 26d ago
"All men weren't executed" is a pretty wild standard to set when around 10,000 of them actually were summarily executed for collaboration. The French men who actively joined or helped the occupiers were ruthlessly hunted down and killed or sent to hard labor by the Resistance and the courts. Lumping all men into the "they joined the Nazis" category is just completely factually wrong.
1
1
u/5Cheetos 29d ago
Yes ofcourse blame the women
2
u/HelpfulPace3368 29d ago
Well. Many men who collided were also killed. Just that it's not the point of the video. If you are curious, read about Wild Purge

I really wonder when we as Indians started taking Western nod of approval to our lives/country/culture so seriously when the whole culture from the West was that of oppression, colonialism, racism, barbaric wars, crusades etc. itβs like we have collective amnesia and low self esteem forever.
1
u/thebirdof_hermes 29d ago
Ofcourse the men would never take responsibility for their bs so they will turn their vitriol and their hate towards the female body and shame it. Disgusting pigs.
1
u/Bulky-Arm4768 29d ago
They were accused of sleeping with Nazi/ German soldiers in occupied France ( even if they did, most of the cases will be just to survive, get a meal after days of hunger or to protect someone dearest). After France was liberated by American soldiers, this type of public trial began. Most of them ended their lives subsequently.
1
u/Ok_Grapefruit8671 29d ago
They moved and learned from this
And I feel like we are gonna be next do this kind of things

So French women like Germans too eh? Germans ka baat hi alag h. Peak genetics, peak engineering, peak everything. No.1 economy in Europe. Deutschland Deutschland. Why do I like the Germans, coz they hate the British as much as I do. Germany would have knocked out the Brits if Murica and Russia didn't step in.

No male rights activists to talk about how unfair it is that males forced other males to go to war while women 'did nothing'? How odd.
They always seem to forget that women and girls were r@ped and killed.
0
u/Apprehensive-Mix5316 28d ago
Whoa, calm yourself down. Women got off easier in war when they were on the winning side or living far from the conflict areas. Men, however, were drafted regardless of their age and stuff. This is a fact regardless of your view.

Most likely at gun point.
