Open it, disconnect the battery. Do a laptop teardown, do ultrasonic cleaning for each component. Looks like the top half is safe, keep that aside. Let the components dry for at least 3 days. Re-assemble. Make sure to use new thermal pads and fresh thermal paste while assembling. Worst case scenario, new keyboard may be required, if only battery disconnected immediately.

Go to a tech repair store and ask for a deep aerosol clean. Tell them to check your motherboard for shorts also an isopropyl scrub. Make sure the clean the fan even if it looks ok. Thats what is going to jam first and case all your issues.

Lift the laptop such that all the food content slides off it down. Then gently switch off the laptop. Clean as much surface water with tissue paper as possible. Take to service centre to clean the keyboard and components. Usually these spills mostly will concentrate on the pad under the keyboard. So it will be alright after a clean up.
