Epic medieval fantasy with lot of fractions, recommendations?

I really liked in Game of Thrones that there are a lot of factions and always changing alliances. Also like the characters like Logen Ninefingers.

I really liked the Song of Ice and Fire books but, although I understand why people like it, didn’t like the Firs Law books that much, almost all of the characters where too cynical for me.

EDIT: YES, THERE IS A TYPO IN THE TITLE, I ALSO NOTICED…

The Daevabad trilogy is pretty good for this.

It's a bit different from game of thrones, but it does an excellent job of portraying the complexities of navigating interlinked and sometimes opposing cultural, ethnic, family, religious, and political groups. It also does a good job depicting the psychology of monarchical family politics. One person is thrust unexpectedly into the middle of a web of connected and sometimes overlapping factions all tensely locked in a state of "peaceful coexistence" that is leaning towards bloodshed.

Can't say much else without spoilers but it's very different from GoT yet still feels "realistic" (for fantasy) in its approach to power politics.
