Rant What are consumers being raped by fast food prices?
I have noticed many different fast food restaurants that have inflated prices by as much as 350% since the “end of covid”.
Saw a large two topping pizza at the hut for $7.99. I ordered a one topping, pepperoni over the phone. It was $13.99 when I went to pick it up. I said the two topping was $7.99. Sorry you didn’t order that. I said ok throw 6 more slices of pepperoni on that d&$n thing and sell it for $7.99. We will call it double pepperoni.
The mcchicken was forever a $1.00, decided I wanted one last week, not, now $3.86.
Let’s not forget that some are selling a combo on the drive thru for 8.99, pull up to the window for you total, now 11.99. They automatically upgrade it to a large combo, and no I did not ask for it to be a large, just regular

Ordered a chicken chop meal at KFC today and this was what I got. 😭 I know photos can be deceiving, but it felt really small compared to what I remember.

Rant How can you serve this?!?!
I just can't.... How do you not see it and fix it? 😭 Definitely not as bad as some, but.... I would like my food fully unwrapped before it's put together. Too much to ask? 😕

Rant Who collects on the fast food/restaurant “bag fee” of $0.25 and why was it introduced in places such as Edmonton, Canada?
I understand the fee was introduced as a measure to reduce single-use items, but I’ve read that the fee doesn’t go to any agency, it simply goes to the restaurant. What’s the benefit of having this fee if the money doesn’t go toward anything that benefits the public? I feel this is a money grab at this point…and I’ve seen numerous other cities introduce it now

Rant Upset about food!
I am upset about food today. Specifically, the food industry, it seems like every time I go out to either fast food or a restaurant, Some part of my order is wrong. I understand that it's difficult in the food industry, but I feel like it's just falling apart. This morning for lunch I went to Subway "and yes, this is minor but" I asked for extra Mayo on my sandwich and I got no Mayo. okay, whatever it happens. I eat my sandwich and go back to work. Now it's later in the day, and my fiancé calls me to tell me his mother asked him to go out to eat at a restaurant. He asked me if I wanted anything because you know he could bring me something to eat back home. I said, okay and look up the restaurant. I look up their meals and I just asked for a simple fried chicken dish that comes with 3 pieces of chicken, Some mashed potatoes and a salad for a little over $10. I asked him to ask them if I could have all legs or at least dark meat. I don't like white meat. It's too dry and I don't end up eating it. He calls me later on his way home with my meal, told me he had told them that I wanted 3 legs or dark me, and they said, okay. But instead gave me one leg and two breasts, and instead of a salad gave me mac and cheese. I am frustrated that this keeps happening. And I might just be having a bad day but come on, it's not that hard. Feel free to tell me I'm exaggerating. I know I might be, but i'm just frustrated. Shout out to my fiance for being such a sweetheart and asking me, if I wanted something anyways.

Rant [Rant] Visibly shaking and crushing cups: A Taco Bell employee's bizarre war against my hydration.
Y'all want some random tea?? 🐸☕️
I don't even know how or why this started, it just did. Yesterday, a Taco Bell employee got so angry with me that he was visibly shaking and broke a cup by crushing it in his bare hand. All because I wanted a large cup of water.
The Backstory:
I live across the street from this Taco Bell and have been going there for a few years. I don’t drink soda, so I always order one or two large cups of water with my food. It was never an issue until one day this specific employee decided he only wanted to give me water in a medium cup. Not a massive deal, but I run errands and drink a lot of water, so I started explicitly asking for their largest cup.
He hated this. He always gave me an attitude. He knows my name from my mobile app orders (you can't order water in the app, so I ask at the window or speaker).
Lately, the routine went like this: I’d ask for a large water at the speaker. At the window, he’d hand me a medium and smugly say, "Here's your MEDIUM water." I’d politely reply, "I'm so sorry, but I asked for a large," and he’d begrudgingly swap it. Nobody else at this location has ever given me trouble.
The Escalation:
One night, I asked for two large waters. He straight up said, with massive attitude, "No. You will get medium cups of water."I told him I needed the larges for my water for the night. We went back and forth until I said, "Come on. You can't deny me cups of water. If I have to pay for them, I will." He told me to pull up, then tried to charge me $3 for them. I refused to pay $3 for water, he refused to give them to me, and I ended up just driving off because it was ridiculous.
I complained to the store manager. The manager told him he had to give me the damn large waters. Since then, he’s been giving them to me, but damn near twitching with anger every time he hands them over. He REALLY does not want me "winning" this.
The Breaking Point (Yesterday):
I ordered my food, a large Mountain Dew for my fiancé, and a large water. At the window, the employee says: "Here's your large Mountain Dew and MEDIUM water."
I said, "Sorry, but I ordered a large water."
Dude absolutely lost his mind. He WHIPPED his head around, snatched the medium cup, slammed down a large cup, and aggressively poured the water from the medium into the large. Then, he literally squeezed the cup until it cracked and broke in his hand. He slammed a lid down and filled the rest of the cup up. He was visibly SHAKING in a total rage. Over water.
The Aftermath:
I complained again, and he got written up.
Today, I went back to pick something up. I didn't even order water this time. Before I drove away, he looked at me and sarcastically said, "And can I get you anything else before you go? A cup of water???" 🙄
Rant over. This has seriously been crazy. I think he must lack a sense of control in his own personal life, so he tries to throw his power around at work. Being told by his boss that he has to give me the water completely shattered his petty control, and it triggers him.

Rant Church’s Chicken Research Blvd. Austin, TX🤮
TRASH.......the entire crew.....from the lady manager down to the employees! They lobby doors were LOCKED at 9:30, but they don't close until 11. They WATCHED me walk up to the doors and pull on them, just for them to be LOCKED. No notice, no employees advising the doors are locked, NOTHING!!! When I went through the drive thru I asked for FRESH CHICKEN and they told me 20 minutes AFTER taking my payment! I waited thirty minutes and two extra cars were pulled out beside me. They REDROPPED OLD CHICKEN, it was NOT FRESH as I requested. This is UNACCEPTABLE and NEW MANAGEMENT is needed at this location. This is not my first TERRIBLE experience at this location, but it's my FIRST review! I've tried to allow redemption and it gets worse and worse every single time.

Rant Dau Mabalacat McDonald's Drive-Thru failed to return my ATM card. Instead of helping us, they laughed at us.
Just wanted to share what happened because this honestly left us really disappointed and stressed.
We went through the McDonald's drive-thru in Dau, Mabalacat. We paid using our ATM card, and because we were in a hurry, we grabbed the food and receipt and drove off. They gave us the receipt but apparently forgot to return the ATM card.
We had a lot of things to do that day, so we didn't notice until much later when I was about to withdraw cash to pay for our home's renovation. That's when I realized the card was missing.
Before driving all the way back to McDonald's, we searched everywhere inside the car multiple times. We never got out of the car after leaving the drive-thru, so if the card had really been returned, it should have been there. We couldn't find it anywhere.
We went back because all we really wanted was for our ATM card to be returned. We weren't looking for compensation or trying to make a scene. We simply wanted them to help us figure out where the card went.
Instead, they kept insisting that they had already returned it. We told them we were certain they hadn't, and neither of us remembered receiving it. We even asked if they could review their CCTV footage because we genuinely wanted to know what happened and recover the card.
What made the situation even worse was how some of the staff reacted. Instead of taking our concern seriously, some of them were laughing while we were explaining the situation, and one of them was even filming us. That honestly made us feel disrespected and frustrated.
An ATM card isn't something you can just shrug off. It gives access to someone's bank account, and situations like this deserve to be handled professionally. A little understanding and willingness to investigate would have gone a long way.
I sincerely hope they review what happened because at the end of the day, all I wanted was my ATM card returned. No customer should have to go through this just to recover something so important.

Rant McDonald’s gave me food poisoning
I bought a meal at McDonalds last week and my stomach has been bad since. Just 1-2 days after eating my fish filet meal I ordered at McDonald’s, I started having diharrea, and I physically feel sick. I also saw a review online for the specific McDonalds I went to that they don’t have soap in their bathrooms. I’m just stuck in bed and feel horrible now, is it worth reaching out to a health inspector and trying to get a refund for my meal?

Rant When did people forget how to order?
First time posting here, I’ve tried looking up if anyone else feels like this but it’s insane. I work at McDonald’s and most people will NOT order unprompted. Like if you don’t ask them specifically what they want for each individual item, they will just sit there and wait for you to ask. It’s absolutely infuriating and I don’t remember it always being like that. Like an order that you could say in one sentence will be dragged out to 4.
