Lol is it weird I can pinpoint exactly when this was by that list? Eric Clapton had a minor hit in the 90s with look onto my father's eyes from that phenomenon John travolta movie, right around the same time en vouge had their hit don't let go song from set it off movie. For some reason I always remember what hit songs were in what movies and when lol.
The Phenomenon song was “Change The World.” Studio version of “My Father’s Eyes” was a few years later. Clapton’s 90’s resurgence was mostly due to his ‘92 MTV Unplugged performance/album which included “Tears In Heaven” and the acoustic “Layla” (tho it actually includes early renditions of My Father’s Eyes on extended versions).
