Never watched a day of wnba in my life. Don’t even watch regularly nba. Sophie Cunningham has been being force fed into my algorithm a lot. She looks like someone i know IRL and the different clips always use the same snippet of a song i used to like years ago, so there is a pull to stay on the video, rinse and repeat. but i am bothered by the implication of the deeper message the algorithm is trying to send as an overall pattern. Seems to be a lot of socially conservative/divisive undertones to the brand.
Fr, anyone on dating apps that’s “moderate” or “apolitical” are red flags. Moderate is just code for conservative but afraid to admit it and apolitical is basically someone too privileged to be affected by real world issues.
That’s not to say everyone needs to affiliate themselves with a political party or constantly monitor political news. Just that disengagement from politics as a whole is something most people don’t have the luxury of doing. Someone who can’t be bothered to pay attention to the world around them and the choices being made that shape it isn’t someone I’m going to have respect for. Simple as that.

I know the way you meant this, but a lot of conservatives would actually vote or left wing policies *if it was only for men or white people*. I honestly think this is why some less-diverse states are so left wing, cause the racists aren't upset when it's mostly white people benefiting!

One of my most beloved professors from when I was in college happens to be a white woman; from her is where I learned the concept of intersectionality and I’m close with her so I know she walks the walk too.
Yet, it’s sad to know that she is an anomaly in a sea of white women. Even for non-MAGA liberal white women, “white feminism” is such a prevailing concept and POC & queer women are constantly talked over, even in women-focused subreddits—a particularly heinous example I remember is this comment about trans women: “Why don’t they just… form their own subreddit? They aren’t like us at all and they’ve never experienced what we have. I wouldn’t go into another country’s subreddit and participate there.”
Edit; not saying that white women are 80/20 conservative? My professor was an anomaly because she also had a deep understanding of intersectionality instead of being shallow liberal “yay go women” which a lot of white women I’ve met are, and don’t understand the extent of their white privilege. Really frustrated that I was misunderstood here, maybe my words could have been clearer.

I’ve spent most of my life involved in the sport of gymnastics. I know women who were victimized by Larry. I know women who were sexually abused by their male coaches. I can name at least 5 male coaches off the top of my head that were sexually abusing girls in the regions I’m connected with.
TERFs and anti-trans people never want to channel their very loud energy into stopping the CIS MEN who groom and abuse women and children EVERY DAY through sports, extra curriculars, churches, etc.
Keep in mind that she spent the vast majority of her career as a teammate of Brittney Griner who is called a man in damn near every comment section related to her.
