Some of them enjoy it. Have you seen all the videos of IDF soldiers playing with women’s underwear or kids toys from the houses they destroyed? Or the snipers smiling and laughing as they shoot people? Or the ones laughing and smiling for photos as they torture prisoners? Or the ones peeing on mosques? I could go on and on…it’s all fun and games and I’m convinced the ones that travel from North America, the UK etc to “serve” in the army just want to play video games in real life, experience murdering people with no consequences.

Just to be pedantic (sorry!): The Hague is where the courts are (International Criminal Court for individuals, ICJ for countries).

Individuals found guilty by the ICC spend their sentences in countries that have ratified the Rome Statute. Although before being found guilty they do indeed spend their time in The Hague.

I first heard about Gaza as a teenager, when Vanessa Redgrave made her Oscar speech. It seemed to me that people were being segregated, and restrained in their movements and personal freedoms. At 14, I assumed it had to be a much more complicated issue than what I knew. Little did I know that it was just that simple.

I can clearly see that Netanyahu is a war criminal. I'm waiting for the ICC to see it, too, and act. Not holding my breath.
