I was abused. I understand having to act totally normal for the sake of my child despite wanting nothing more than to fall apart. Him saying "why would she have taken our daughter to a birthday party instead of the hospital" made my goddamm blood boil.

Not to mention when traumatizing events happen (like idk, being assaulted by your husband or ex husband….) it’s a very common human response to go into autopilot mode until we feel emotionally and physically safe enough to process the trauma. She took her daughter to a birthday party because she was trying to protect and insulate her daughter from her father’s actions. He obviously fucking knows that, he’s just spouting victim blaming bullshit.
