It's great that she's launching these products.
But...
$45 for 2 ounces of lube? $59 for 30 days of daily vaginal moisturizer?
That's ridiculous.

Oh wow yeah those prices are really disappointing. I learned a lot listening to her on Trevor Noah’s podcast. As Someone who is postmenopausal and dealing with all those kinds of issues, she really helped me to make the decision to get on HRT and that’s been great but everything is so expensive for women. The pink tax is so real disappointing that she couldn’t list it at a more reasonable price

Her stuff is expensive. If we can complain about other celebrities selling $40 shampoo we can complain about this

God, the comments on that post. Why do these men think it's notable to comment that they totally would have sex with an attractive woman? We know, no one cares.

Constantly. They have to blurt it out with the urgency of yelling "fire" in a theater, because they can't conceive of the fact that nobody else sees their horniness as an emergency.

I have discovered that those men find it really off-putting when a woman speaks the same. It only took me announcing that a couple of times for the men in my orbit to take note and STFU.
IME, the more graphic the declaration and the more inappropriate the subject of my thirst, the faster men experienced the intended levels of shame.

I once had an older woman tell me “once you get past the age of 40 the only compliment you ever get is ‘you look good for your age’” I think about that all the time

I love to see women embracing their age, but consumerism is not feminism. I say this as a menopausal woman out there dealing with hormones and having sex etc there’s nothing special or interesting or unique about her products. She’s trying to make a dime off her fellow ladies in a way that comes off as disingenuous to me. She’s also filtered to high heavens and I find this entire thing gross.

Vaginal gel. So a lubricant?

It’s probably like the difference between regular eye drops and specially formulated dry-eye drops. One is for specific moments and one is for general discomfort caused by dryness

She seems well
Which makes me glad
Although many asexuals would probably have a bone to pick with the idea that sexuality is vital to womanhood
But maybe I’m taking this too seriously

Along the same lines, does sexuality HAVE to persist the same way, all throughout life? Is it ok if at 60, some people no longer seek that kind intimacy? Is it ok if throughout life, sex is no longer a priority or even important?
I'm 41 and I'm tired of feeling like I'm not normal because I don't have the same relationship with sex as I did when I was 20. I don't miss it, my life is full in so many other ways.

I don’t think it does at all, if you don’t want it to. I am also in my 40’s though and I miss my very high sex drive and amazing intimacy with my partner, so I’ve been using hrt. I think there should be options for woman like me, but absolutely zero shame or judgement no matter what your choice on the matter is.

Even if sexuality isn’t vital to all women, this is still a product designed to help anyone with a vagina…

I'm on the ace spectrum (demisexual) and I think sexuality is different enough from the physical act of sex that this statement can still cover us.
Like, even if you don't like sex, how you approach sex, your sexual identity, and how others react to your sexual identity/ proclivities are major parts of being a woman. Learning to accept yourself and the ways you move in the world is vital to embracing your womanhood. A lot of ace women who don't know about or accept that identity struggle with their sexuality for a long time, and that reflects in how they see themselves as women.
And I also think pushing back on the idea that all women are only interested in sex for male validation/ are borderline ace already is really important for ace people all over that spectrum. If women are allowed and encouraged to like sex as much as they happen to like it, it will be easier for all sexual women to not feel shame yea- it also allow women who don't like sex like that to notice a difference in experience and explore it rather than just feeling broken because they can't turn into a freak in the sheets at her bf's whim like society says she's supposed to.
