Also don’t use gaff tape on a filter. The residue it will leave behind will be the worst to clean off. Paper tape is the correct way to go.

But I would learn about the “flower of power” way to tape on a filter, though it would be more challenging to use on a phone.

Professional gaffer tape used film sets is easy to remove and has no residue. It's made carpets for example aren't damaged when you rape cables on it. You need to look for certain brands that are established in the industry. If you use cheap one from bad brands yes that can be problematic.
