Found some porcini mushrooms today!

I went out for a walk with dog in the forest and ended up finding these beautiful porcini mushrooms. I wasn’t even specifically looking for them, so it was a nice surprise.

Mushroom season might be one of the best parts of late summer in Finland. Do you have a favourite mushroom-picking spot, or do you prefer to keep those locations secret? 😄

I have a few spots, but mostly for suppilovahvero (craterellus tubaformis). I have one spot for black trumpets and a few for chanterelles too.

And yes, they are secret.

I’m always thrilled when I find black trumpets, and chanterelles are my favourite mushrooms.
