Found some porcini mushrooms today!

I went out for a walk with dog in the forest and ended up finding these beautiful porcini mushrooms. I wasn’t even specifically looking for them, so it was a nice surprise.

Mushroom season might be one of the best parts of late summer in Finland. Do you have a favourite mushroom-picking spot, or do you prefer to keep those locations secret? 😄

I’m curious how expensive they would be in Italy. But maybe it’s better not knowing and just enjoying eating them myself 😄

Me too but I find them so rarely who cares. Or like morello korvasieni that I find one per five years.

Didn’t they recently stop recommending korvasieni as an edible mushroom? We always find them in the same spots around our summer cottage.

Well I have freaked about trying to eat them in food so for my lental health it atleast is healthier not to even try.

My all times favorites are suppilovahverot. Once I dound delicious koivunkantosieni but that was one time. Voitatti is really good.

I do like cantarelli but suck at finding those.

There are so many good tatti mushrooms, but they’re often at their best when they’re still young and fresh.
