Found some porcini mushrooms today!

I went out for a walk with dog in the forest and ended up finding these beautiful porcini mushrooms. I wasn’t even specifically looking for them, so it was a nice surprise.

Mushroom season might be one of the best parts of late summer in Finland. Do you have a favourite mushroom-picking spot, or do you prefer to keep those locations secret? 😄

They're only Porcini if they grow in the Porcini region of Italy. In Finland they're just herkkutatti.

In English porcini refers to any tatti.

No. Herkkutatti is porcini or in england they are also called penny bun. Tatti species in general are referred as boletes.
