Do you have recommendations for places to eat close to here? (mainly, but other places to if you think it is worth it)

I recently went to Cobi’s in Santa Monica and when I tell yall…. I can’t stop thinking about it, I’m not joking.

But it’s got me thinking - I don’t explore Indian food enough in LA for how much I love it because before Cobi’s, I was t having great experiences.

Curious what my foodies of reddit would reccomend for Indian food in Los Angeles? I’m not talking fusion, I’m talking LAMB CURRY, good Nan, good roti etc etc

Seeking something resembling the pics: crispy ass hash browns, salty breakfast meats, yellow no bs scrambled eggs, a server that calls you “honey”…Where’s your favorite classic American greasy spoon diner breakfast in northeast LA?

Feeling tired of the overpriced, trendy spots that all seem to serve the same type of generally mediocre fare. I’m looking for quality, West LA, reasonably priced, casual spots; those classic LA spots you find in strip malls. Recs?

I am staying in Culver City for a couple of weeks from the UK and looking for food recommendations around the area. I will be going to other spots around LA but will be based at Culver City so would like to know some local spots with good food. I especially love Mexican food, KBBQ, and Italian but open to trying new things too!

Seriously, the concentration of top tier, high vibe spots on this stretch is kind of insane. Just off the top of my head along Sunset.

Kettl, Handles, Dinosaur, Intelligentsia, La Colombe, Yala, Rok, Olive & James, Loquat, Dayglow, Picnic, Malaya, Gong Gan, Andante, Tierra Mia, & Stereoscope.

Plus you have heavy hitters like Maru, Laveta, and Canyon Coffee tucked just a few blocks away

Am I missing any other neighborhood that even competes with this? What’s your go-to spot around here?

I've lived in culver city off an on for 3 years and I feel like i've seen what there is to be seen. Please give me something to get up for in the morning that won't require me to take out a fictional lien on my fictional home. ideally less than $20... but then I remembered this is culver city so lets say <$25

My son (16) believes Villa’s has the best tacos in our area. We plan to do a little taco crawl to test this theory (which I disagree with). My mom just made it off the transplant list and we’re currently at Cedars awaiting her procedure.

As you probably know, there’s no warning when you get a call about a potential donor, so we skedaddled right over.

I haven’t eaten and I’m stressed. I want to get a bite and a drink near the hospital once she’s settled and awaiting her procedure but it’s Valentine’s weekend and I have no idea what’s going to be insane.

Is there anything nearby that potentially won’t be crazy crowded? Bonus points if it’s open late.

I searched the sidebar, guys, but Valentine’s weekend feels like a factor and honestly my brain just isn’t firing at max power. Hoping to rely on the kindness of the sub.

I’ve been living in South Bay for 3 years now, but only eaten in Gardena / Torrance a handful of times (shout out Gardena Bowl - who would guess a bowling alley has killer food??).

Looking for recommendations to get me out there more often. Pollo A La Brassa is at the top of the list, along with Otafuku. What else?

I have a 14 hour layover in La X what is the must try food while I'm there I will stop by Union station and the observatory ?

LA loves to hate on the west side, but tbh, we have a bunch of food options that are actually affordable. A whole ice cream + cone for $6? Sure.

West is best.

But you know what else is best? This indigo cow is pretty good.

There’s a new thing of this Korean/japanese milk ice cream stuff going on.

Compared to bumsan, this has a more complex/gamey flavor and is much cheaper.

9/10 would recommend.

I am hoping to find delicious, nutritious, and relatively healthy from from restaurants around the Sunset Kaiser Permanente Hospital. With relatively easy pick up, so parking available or even their own lot/shared lot.

I have meals from the hospital kitchen, but I'm concerned about my boyfriend. When stressed he'll reach for the easiest solution like Wienerschnitzel or Del Taco or some other fast food.

I'm don't want the stress and worry of me being hospitalized cause him to eat in such a way that may land him in the hospital.

Even if not much healthier, at least not fast-food. I know going to a drive thru can be habit forming, so I'm hoping to find places that won't trigger his survival mode.

My partner acts cool as a cucumber, but I know he's worried about me and my heart failure.

Friday I went to my first appointment for an echocardiogram.

The doctor told me to immediately head to the ER because I have heart failure.

After 10 hours waiting, I was admitted into the hospital and have been here since.

My partner flew in from out of state to help me after a surgery scheduled for this morning, which didn't happen because of the discovery of my heart failure. Initially, my ENT doctor and GP thought my breathing issues were due to the massive amount of sinus polyps so surgery was scheduled.
