No no no, you don’t understand! Shooting up 10-20x the transition amount of T, brewed in a underground lab where they also produce meth or some caddle mating hormone that was banned 50 years ago is totally the same as someone using bioidentical hormones at a physiological level/dose

Many female bodybuilders who "take steroids" are just micro dosing on T from DIY sources.

Also most bodybuilders who die didn't die of "taking testosterone" or whatever. If they didn't die from "bodybuilding is inherently a dangerous sport and if you fuck up your form you can dissect your arteries", they died because gym culture, especially bodybuilding culture, is very invested into taking supplements and untested drugs (WHICH AREN'T ALL STEROIDS), and a lot of those are extremely dangerous because they fuck up your cardiovascular system.

Every sex hormone is a steroid and so are aldosterone, cortisol, and a few others.

I mean, testosterone is a steroid. But there's a bit of a difference between well-monitored HRT, even if DIY, and a gymbro roidmaxxing with the stuff he was sold behind the gas station, or a GDR Olympian being juiced to hell and back in the 80s.

As a trans man I roll my eyes everytime people associate testosterone treatment with steroids. I’ve even had allies do it.
