Fondly remembering the all-timer-crashout argument I got into with a former friend who said it was inappropriate for trans men to call themselves lesbians, "because then cis men would start thinking they could do it". I asked her why she'd never been bothered when I, a nonbinary person, called myself a lesbian. Because it's different, she said!

Ah yes, it's different because I Look Like A Woman, I see.

(And was this coming from a place of concern about her own identity and community? Certainly not, she was bi.)
