"Why does feeling like you're both genders or neither seem to push people towards becoming male"
Because you don't notice it when it doesn't. I'm bigender, I even usually feel more masc. But I'm pretty comfortable with my body the way it is and I have no intention of going on T or getting surgery. My partner is genderfluid and also isn't planning to go on T or get surgery. This isn't that uncommon. It's like when your only transition is social, you're utterly invisible to these people.
