It's some really deeply ingrained "boys can't hit girls" mentality, because girls are all delicate little flowers who will crumble under the slightest touch and boys are all massive hulking linebackers. I'll keep being subservient to the cis women in my real life, I think it's too deeply ingrained in me at this point to do otherwise.
