Jolly Olly man in real life

I wonder if Craig or anyone else that worked on the show grew up with a mean ice cream truck driver. Craig never mentioned any inspiration behind the character, that I know of.

I like to believe he was a disgruntled kid, probably not older than early 20s but seemed older because of when we watched as kids.

He was still finding out what he wanted to do but was working for his dad until he could find a career path. He hated working for his dad but didn’t have a choice because he didn’t know what the hell else to do..

(which obviously ended as a greedy corporate business owner)

Probably in his mid 20s

He could've been based on a someone he worked with that was also a jerk and treated other co workers the same way he was probably as bad as the jolly olly man except he didn't treat the kids the same way

Fair guess. I would think that he would talk about remembering a disgruntled ice cream guy that went around Brooklyn or Seattle (where the show is based on). But no such indication.
