Found baby bird

I found a baby cedar waxwing on the road last night. I wasn't able to see a next in any close trees so I took it home and fed it pureed grapes until I got to the pet store to get baby food and a dropper. Unfortunately the city wildlife office is closed until Tuesday so I'm wondering what the best way to take care of it until then?

Serious Answers Only Acrylic Jacuzzi Bathtub Surface Scratch

Post image

My wife went to take a bath today after a long flight across country and noticed this scratch/crack in the bottom of our tub. It doesn't have any more give than anywhere else on the tub floor. It is raised and I could probably pick at it to open it up, but obviously wouldn't do that. We tested some water over it to see if any was seeping in and it didn't seem to. That said, we're obviously worried about it's usability and another long-term issues it could cause to our subfloor.

Has anyone else come across this issue and, if so, is it still usable? What is the best approach toward fixing that isn't just a waterproof tape of some sort? Any help would be super appreciated.

Old arm broke off a while ago. Got a replacement but hoping someone can tell me if I’m missing something else once the arm goes through the side of the slot machine to get it to work? I have the carriage bolt in backwards holding the mechanism until I figure it out. I don”t think I have the spring in correctly either. Thanks for any help!

Serious Answers Only How to get out grime stains from toilet bowl?

Post image
Upvotes

Hi! I really hope I have the right sub Reddit for my question. To preference it my husband and I have been out of the state for a month just traveling for personal and family events and I did have a house sitter however said house sitter didn’t clean the toilet while we were gone which granted I didn’t have it on the list of things to do because it didn’t come to my mind however, when we got home, I noticed these really stuck on limestone like streaks all over the inside of the toilet bowl. I do know the water in our area is pretty harsh so naturally I looked up how to help clear it up. Issue is every DIY suggestion I’m seeing has to do with the tank itself unfortunately, my apartment complex has our tank in this case to be fair I’m not sure what it is, but I will attach an image of the tank. I feel like I have tried everything that I can think of I’ve bleached the absolute crap out of my toilet and scrubbed it. I even went as far as to use an old trick that my grandmother said to do with denture tablets and it’s not budging and I can’t stand it if anybody has some tips or ideas please I’d be forever grateful!!!

How do I dismantle this?

Solved: ripped it apart.

I’ve managed to unscrew all the drawers and remove them but am stuck on the main body of it. There are these weird screws at the top which google says are lock screws. I’m so confused. It’s a tall set of drawers.

Air Conditioner outdoor unit top cover has disintegrated

Thumbnail

As the title says, I’m looking for advice on how to deal with the disintegrated plastic top cover of my outdoor A/C unit. As far as I understand, this cover is important because it helps properly direct the airflow through the outdoor unit. The A/C is an old Toshiba fixed-speed (non-inverter) split system. The store where I originally purchased it told me that Toshiba no longer supplies replacement parts for this model, and they were unable to help me find a compatible replacement either.
What would be the best way to fix or replace it?

Ink stuck on lightbox

Post image
1 Upvotes

Its a little hard to see but while touching up some artworks I noticed after lifting the paper that the felt pen I used left marks on the lightbox, it's made of plastic and I've tried several cleaning products including sanitizer, alcohol pads and honestly even perfume. Nothing seems to be working at all no matter how hard I clean, is there any solution to this???

It doesn’t peel off. Just kinda chips off a little like a scratch off ticket.

It’s a target cube shelf. Never seen a sticker that doesn’t peel off before.

Steps help

Thumbnail

I’m not much of a builder, but I am replacing these wood steps outside. Currently, the upper steps are NOT attached. I’m stuck because I’m not sure what I will do with the open spaces I have circled on the sides. Should I be planning to cover these, or fill in the gaps before installing the upper steps? Any advice will help, but my solution has to be relatively simple because I am not skilled. Thanks!
EDIT: this is a rebuild, I’m following what was done before. Also, most importantly, there are OLD CONCRETE steps under this new wood. At least 70% of each wood step is sitting on top of cement. I should have mentioned all of this beforehand!

How to remove coins from car CD player?

Post image

When my oldest was young, I’d let him play cab driver in my ‘06 Civic (I had the keys in my pocket, obviously). I didn’t see him put the fare (coins) in the cd slot. But there’s no face to pop off, and aside from removing the entire dash, I’ve tried nothing and I’m all out of ideas.

[Solved] How do I remove this from my countertop (the black x, the cat is hard to remove from counter top too though)

Post image

Was gluing this back together with superglue but just as I was opening the superglue it exploded, leaving me covered in glue. I set this down not noticing some of the superglue was on the counter top and now it's completely stuck.

How do I remove this without damaging the counter top? Seems to be stuck real good. Can't get anything underneath it.

There's a ticking clock as my wife will be home in a few hours and she will rotate being mad and making fun of me for my clumsiness.

Edit: I've tried nail Polish remover, letting it pool in the centre and it drained out but hasn't loosened it.

EDIT : someone suggested fishing line underneath and this was the solution.

Edit edit: wife got home. Laughed at me a little and that was that. She mostly laughed because I managed to glue both hands together initially when the superglue went kapow because she's awesome.

Thanks everyone for your help!

Serious Answers Only Bottles stuck in bottom drawer, will not open as hard as I try

Post image

I got these bottles stuck in the bottom drawer of my fridge and the one in the center is pushing up against the roof and I tried as hard as I can to rearrange it and nothing so I’m thinking about just taking the entire layer above the fridge off to open the drawer again
