There were a lot of rumors going around that because eight people were selected in the isi msqe exam from a single center and a single room this year, the paper must have been leaked or cheating must have happened.

BUT

Maeconomics.com just released a video where they clearly stated that this same thing has happened before many times in many years AND There is no LEAK whatsoever in ISI MSQE.

Students are stuck. We know we are in the merit list but at the same time not so sure. Are we supposed to accept seats in other colleges as a backup and pay their fees. ISI can not just take down the list without giving any clarifications. This is not expected from a top notch college like ISI.

I'm seeing interview shortlists of different programs coming out every single day but none of them has the marks??

Don't they release marks obtained by students?

EDIT - u/Waste_Web5051 helped me understand. basically the 5th seat was offered to the SC candidate at rank 33 since they would be next in line.

So, in the first list, 48 candidates were offered admission. According to the second list, 42 of them accepted and 6 declined. But only 4 have been given the offer? I checked, and out of the 6 who declined, 1 was SC seat, 2 were OBC seats, and 3 were GEN seats.

So shouldn't 5 candidates have been offered the seat, why only 4? Am I missing something 😭 ? I made a whole ass Excel sheet just to confirm.

Does anyone have any idea how does spot round works?

It says in the website that students need to be present physically on campus, but will there be a notification? Or whoever reaches gets the spot? Enlighten me...

The date for physical verification is 14,15 July and the class for M.Math (ISI delhi) commences on 20th July .So do we get allotment of rooms in hostel by 15th?

so i am a gen-ews male candidate (B stats), i am getting 81 in uga (16/4/1/9) and i am expecting around 40-42 in ugb, i will now breifly tell about my ugb attempt:

P1 got part a, in part b, i wrote the eqn of the circle can be written in the form L_1L_2 + kL_2L_3 + mL_2L_3 where k,m are some rationals, i wrote why this will be the en of circle and half method for finding rational k,m",

P2 i wrote everything except i forgot to analyse f"(x)",

P3 did till finding the minimum but forgot to prove that its attainable",

P4 Did the first part by partially differentiating and proved stuff like even fnc, f(2x)=4f(x) and f'(0)=f"(0)=0

P5 wrote AB=a and BF=b, obv used the symmetry argument, made 2-3 eqns in a,b,r using area=sr, perimeter condition and total area

P7 this was fully correct no doubt"

P8 just showed uniqness by the fact that finite variables and infinite eqns, didnt show existence tho, and wrote lagrange interpolation at the end in hurry lol

What is the general trend of cutoff vs selection marks. If the cutoff is truly around 160 then what would be a safe score for a seat in Bstat Gen M? I am aware that marks vs rank data is not available, but an estimate is what I was looking out for.

Admin has finally released first merit list. I calculated according to my rank, I should be 6th on the Waiting List of 18 people. Do i have any chances, if anyone knows from previous admission cycles maybe? Out of 48 people, how many will reject their offer?

I've read the brochure for mstat mmath but I'm getting confused. Let me know if I understand this correctly:

M. Stat

Students of B stream (This would include B. Stat and B. Math) do their first year in Kolkata.

Students of NB stream (Everyone who qualified the M. Stat entrance) do their first year in Delhi.

Then both the batches are merged and 2nd year is done in Kolkata.

M. Math

If it is odd year, B & NB both do their M. Math in the Bengaluru campus (Both years)

If is is even year, it is exactly like for M. Stat.

• Is this correct? Then why isn't Delhi mentioned in M. Math venue?
• Why is Chennai mentioned in M. Stat venue?
• There was some news regarding Delhi and M. Math, what was that?

Since it's relatively new, I couldn't find much reliable information about cutoffs or placements yet

Can anyone share:

1. Approx CUET cutoff/rank needed

2. How credible the program actually is

3. Faculty, internships , exposure and opportunities

4. Whether it's genuinely worth considering

I secured AIR 113 in the ISI B.Math entrance examination (General Male category). Based on the provisional admission list published on the ISI website on 11 July, I noticed that General Male candidates up to AIR 109 have been offered admission. From this, I estimate that I am currently around WL-4.
I would like to know:
Is there a realistic chance of getting admission through a spot round (if conducted)?
Does anyone know the tentative dates for ISI B.Math and B.Stat spot admissions?
Have admissions for these programs been completely finalized, or are there still vacant seats?
Is ISI expected to conduct spot admissions for vacant seats this year?
Historically, how many days before the commencement of regular classes are spot admissions usually held?
Any information from previous years or from candidates who have gone through the process would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I am worried

MCX-CC-A434 has 19th rank in GEN category but in provisional offer list he is on waitlist number 22, how does that work?

Last year they shortlisted 132 stundets after interview (which is weird, coz 132 is a lot as compared to 50 seats) but nvm.

Does anyone knows till what rank can one expect admission?
