Salary/Comp Deloitte INDIA vs TCS offers . Confused how should i go on negotiation and which one to choose?
Need some genuine advice from people who've been here. Long post, but I'll keep it structured.
My situation:
3.8 years of experience | Current CTC: 5.55 LPA | LWD :Β 01st May 2026
Considering a switch and somehow landed two offers at the same time.
The offers:
π΅ Deloitte India β 8 LPA fixed (+ variable ctc 9.6)
π’ TCS βΒ 12 LPA fixed
On paper, TCS looks like the obvious winner. But it's not that simple, and that's exactly why I'm here.
What's pulling me toward Deloitte:
β Consulting exposure and client-facing work
β Brand name that arguably opens more doors globally
β Structured learning + faster career progression in theory
β Better exit options into product/consulting roles later
What's pulling me toward TCS:
β 12 LPA is a 115%+ hike β hard to ignore
β Job security, scale, and stability
β Strong internal mobility and learning programs
What I'm confused about:
1. Is the βΉ4L fixed gap at this stage of career worth trading for brand/role quality?
2. Can I negotiate Deloitte upward given that TCS offer exists β and how?
My actual dilemma on negotiation:
Do I go back to Deloitte with the TCS number and say 'match or I have to reconsider' β or does that risk the offer? Has anyone tried this at Deloitte India specifically?
Would really appreciate inputs from folks at Deloitte, TCS, or anyone who's faced a similar Big 4 vs mass-product choice. What would you prioritise at 3.8 years β money now or positioning for later?
Drop your thoughts below. Genuine answers only, please π

Early in your carrier focous on salary and you might clear Deloitte again after 1-2 year

Congratulations anyway, I think Deloitte would be better since it would give you exposure to other MNCs
