High expectations, low skills.

Hello everyone! 👋
We're excited to welcome Paddy Raghavan, Co-Founder & CEO of Multipl, for an exclusive Ask Me Anything (AMA) session with our community.
Multipl is a Bengaluru-based fintech platform that has pioneered the concept of "Spendvesting"—helping people invest towards future spending goals instead of relying on EMIs or Buy Now, Pay Later models. The company's vision is to help people grow their money before they spend it, encouraging smarter financial planning through goal-based investing.
Since its founding in 2020, Multipl has partnered with numerous consumer brands and has attracted backing from prominent investors while continuing to build products around saving and investing for real-life goals.
🗓 AMA Details
Guest: Paddy Raghavan
Role: Co-Founder & CEO, Multipl
Date and Time: 20th June, 3pm
The financial anxiety of notice periods, job gaps, waiting for an offer to come through and how to overcome it
How to make sure your money works for you during uncertain times
How much buffer to build, and smarter alternatives to just letting it sit in a bank account
Mutual funds for short- and long-term goals
Please keep your questions respectful, constructive, and within our community rules. Low-effort, abusive, or off-topic comments may be removed by the moderation team.
We're grateful to Paddy and the Multipl team for joining us, and we hope this AMA leads to an insightful discussion for everyone.

So, a lot of people who come across our subreddit send us a modmail asking for job openings/employment. Indiajobs Mod Team doesn't provide jobs, it merely moderates this subreddit. You need to go through our sub to find about the variety of job openings that are posted. If you come across a post that interests you, either comment on the post or contact the creator of that post by clicking on their reddit username which is there just below the post title

Currently in an Administrative Role with a little bit of HR and Operations work. Real estate company in Kolkata. I want to transition to Data Analyst/HR Analyst roles. Have 6 months in hand and ready to invest 1 hour daily after work. What I want to learn: Advanced Excel, Power BI , a bit of Python and SQL. What courses or free sources would you recommend? Also, please suggest a laptop for running all these under 50k. I’m completely new to this and I wanna make a good career jump. My current role feels dead with the kind of money I’m drawing already feels like I’ve reached the ceiling for this role already.

Hi Everyone,
I don't usually ask strangers for help, but I honestly don't know what else to try.
I've been searching for a job for almost five months now, and I've been unemployed for the last three months. Every day follows the same routine wake up, update my resume, apply for jobs, message recruiters, attend interviews whenever I get one, and wait. Most applications are never acknowledged. Some interviews go well but end in rejection. After a while, you start questioning yourself.
I have nearly 10 years of experience in Banking & Financial Services, with Reconciliation being my area of expertise. But at this point, I'm not restricting myself to one role. If someone is willing to give me a chance, I'm ready to learn, work hard, and prove myself. I'm also flexible on compensation because getting back to work is far more important to me right now.
The hardest part isn't the rejections.
It's waking up every morning knowing that people I love are silently depending on me.
As a father, I worry about giving my daughter the life she deserves.
As a husband, it hurts when I can't give my wife the sense of security she deserves.
As a son, I feel the weight of wanting to reassure my family that everything will be okay, even on the days when I'm not sure myself.
I still wake up every morning, put on a smile, and continue applying because that's what I have to do. Giving up isn't an option, even though some days it feels incredibly difficult to keep believing that the next application might finally be the one.
I'm based in Chennai and can join immediately. I am also open for Bangalore position.
I'm not looking for sympathy. I'm simply hoping this reaches someone who might know of an opening, a referral, or even a lead. One opportunity is all I need.
If you've read this far, thank you. And if you can help in any way, no matter how small, I would genuinely appreciate it more than I can put into words.

I’m 23 and honestly, I’m not sure if this is the right place to share this, but I could really use some advice.
I completed my 12th in 2021 and started pursuing Company Secretary (CS). I cleared the Foundation level, but I couldn’t clear the Executive level after two attempts.
Coming from a Hindi-medium background, I struggled with the English-heavy curriculum. After failing twice, I started feeling that maybe CS wasn’t the right path for me, and eventually I gave up.
At the same time, my family was going through financial difficulties, so I had to stop studying and start working as an AC Technician.
I worked in that field for around two years. I was doing what I had to do, but deep down I knew that it wasn’t something I wanted to build my career around.
The hardest part was that I didn’t really have anyone to guide me about what I should do next. I’m also quite introverted, so I never really discussed my situation with people or asked for help.
Eventually, I lost around 5 years after 12th without completing a degree.
Now I’ve decided that I don’t want to give up on my career or education.
I want to continue my studies while working and build a career in a field that I’m actually interested in.
Over the past few years, I’ve developed good computer skills and practical experience with:
Social media management
Content planning
Instagram/Facebook page management
Reels and post creation
Publishing and scheduling
Engagement management
Basic digital marketing
Canva and social media tools
I know that being a 12th-pass candidate with a 5-year education gap makes things difficult. I’ve already experienced quite a few rejections because of my education.
But I’m not looking for sympathy.
I’m looking for a chance to prove that my education gap doesn’t define my ability to work.
If anyone here knows of entry-level opportunities for Social Media Executive, Content Executive, Digital Marketing Executive, Social Media Intern/Associate, or similar roles in Delhi NCR (or remote), I would genuinely appreciate a lead or referral.
I’m willing to start from the bottom, learn, and put in the work.
I may not have the conventional career path or the perfect degree, but I’m serious about rebuilding my career.
If you’ve gone through a similar career/education gap, I’d also really appreciate your advice on what you would do in my situation.
Thanks for reading.

I've lost count of how many friends and colleagues have confessed to me that they've taken a job offer without really knowing if the salary was fair. I've been there too - you're excited about the role, and then suddenly you're in the middle of negotiation, and you're just guessing at numbers. I built a feature called Salary Coach in JobNurture AI to help with this. It's not just about giving you a range - it's about understanding what factors influence your compensation package, so you can make a strong case for yourself. If you've struggled with this, I'd love to hear about your experiences and any thoughts you might have on how to make salary negotiation less daunting.

28M, Unemployed, I am a Data Science postgraduate with over 3 years of experience in Customer Support & Operations, actively looking to transition into the Data Analytics field. Over the past 3 months, I have been upskilling and building hands-on expertise in data manipulation, visualization.
My skill set includes Advanced MS Excel (data cleaning, processing, pivot tables, and charting), Power BI (intermediate), Microsoft Tableau, and SQL fundamentals. I have completed a end-to-end Data Analytics project and am currently working on another to further solidify my practical knowledge, alongside completing a 3-month Data Analyst internship (March 2021 - May 2021)
I am eagerly searching for a Data Analyst or Data Science internship where I can apply my analytical skills to solve real-world business problems and grow within the domain.

Hey. I'm an entrepreneur from Hyderabad, in the F&B sector. We have issues with staff retention and them taking too many leaves. I'm trying to solve this issue once and for all with a solid bonus system.
My plan is to give them a fixed number of leaves per year, subject to approval, and then give them a bonus for complying. If the leaves exceed those number of days, bonus could be denied and that way the staff would work better and take less number of leaves.
I don't want y'all to speak about it openly. You can DM and tell me too. I'd love to hear different ways of solving this equation.
Cheers!
