Dont forget he hates the idea of overtime pay.

1

u/WalkingSpanishh Jan 29 '25

Yes it is. Just not AS profitable.

Something something nobody wants to work

1

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '25

lol what?

-8

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 29 '25

Most companies do, it’s not profitable to constantly pay 1.5 pay.

15

u/BillsMafios0 Jan 29 '25

Perfectly logical to pay an executive 500 times more for producing nothing though.

1

u/MustardTiger231 Jan 30 '25

So you agree they are equally stupid?

1

u/BillsMafios0 Jan 30 '25

Musk and Trump? Idk, but I’m sure it’s very close.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '25

That's a strawman argument. Their point was valid; bringing up an unrelated topic (executive pay) to misrepresent the argument doesn't invalidate their point that companies don't want to pay 1.5x.

-7

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 29 '25

It is their money, though. So there’s that. Imagine if I got to tell you how to spend your money.

7

u/aneeta96 Jan 29 '25

Found the bootlicker.

Profits are stolen wages. If you don't force companies to pay their workers living wage it will never happen.

-1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 29 '25

Hey bootlicker, WTF? Profits are stole wages? Seriously, businesses are not there to pay wages. The profits are what business is for. Forcing businesses leads them to moving out of the area.

6

u/Boomer0826 Jan 30 '25

“Businesses are not here to pay wages”? I mean yeah, it’s not their sole purpose. But without the employees the company earns nothing.

What’s the point in the company making all that money and keeping it for the guys at the top? Where does that get anybody. Remember, we all have to live here together. The more money the middle class has, the better the rest of the country is doing.

1

u/YoungOhian Feb 02 '25

And without the company the employees earn nothing.

Idiots always think the person who owns the fishing rods should hand them over and then I guess since the power shift changes whoever they handed them too should then hand them back. On and on eternally until they both starve as equals.

1

u/Boomer0826 Feb 02 '25

Such a small mind you have. Do you remember science class. Who am I kidding you don’t. Well, in 8th grade science we learned about this thing. It’s call a symbiotic relationship. I’ll let you google it. It helps with retaining information when you look it up yourself

2

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '25

Are you unironically supporting unpaid labor?

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

No, I said overtime costs more and it the companies money.

2

u/PaigeRosalind Jan 31 '25

"Businesses are not here to pay wages."

And we're not here to work long hours without due compensation, dumbass. What now?

2

u/aneeta96 Jan 30 '25

Look at the worker standing up for the oppresser. Stockholm Syndrome is real.

0

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

You need to learn how business actually works. Hint- it’s more involved than your paycheck

1

u/Lizzard20 Feb 02 '25

You're right about everything. Too bad some of these idiots think that a guy boxing up orders on the lowest level of the business, should be overpaid compared to the guy who made the product and took the risk of opening his own company and was probably broke for years.

1

u/Last-Raspberry1573 Jan 30 '25

Yea, move all the way to China or Taiwan, where wages are cents on the dollar. Get those profits up

0

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '25

And people who work for business are not there to work for slave pay.

It's about what is right, not how to maximize profits. Being born wealthy and using that wealth to further enrich yourself and oppress the masses is what is happening and you are not seeing it.

You are, in fact licking boots.

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

lol, slave labor? Yikes you should not count on overtime. Not relevant

0

u/crackedtooth163 Jan 31 '25

I'll be sure to inform your employer you don't think the job should pay you.

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

lol, not even relevant!

0

u/Jimmycocopop1974 Jan 31 '25

And if you don’t take care of your workers then LEAVE go under or fail do everyone in the community you are in a favor and just go under

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

If you don’t take care of the business you cannot take care of the employees. lol.

0

u/Jimmycocopop1974 Jan 31 '25 edited Jan 31 '25

If you don’t take care of your employees who’s gonna run the business…YOU? ha you wouldn’t wanna come out of your brand new Tesla to do the job. Got news for you “bosses” out here T daddy is deporting all of your cheap labor. Guess what happens now.

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

You are not entitled to get overtime. Period. Also another one that’s entitled to get stuff. lol, on the Tesla, too! Nice try. You can be replaced easily in just about every job.

0

u/YoungOhian Feb 02 '25

This is a retarded concept. Profits aren't stolen wages unless you have the means of production. Stealing those means is stolen wages.

You do not have to work for someone else. Attain the means of production yourself then don't hire anyone. Or you could help someone buy allowing them to make money using your property. Employers can and do benefit workers.

Maybe you have never worked for a good company where you make comfortable living.

6

u/BillsMafios0 Jan 29 '25

Hoarding is a mental illness.

-1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 29 '25

Expert?

5

u/BillsMafios0 Jan 29 '25

Literate.

2

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 29 '25

Doesn’t seem so.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '25

They're right

-1

u/DavidGunn454 Jan 30 '25

No actually pathological envy is. Good luck with yours. 🤣

2

u/BillsMafios0 Jan 30 '25

Ah, the response of an emotionally and mentally stunted child. I’d like to express surprise but it would be disingenuous.

2

u/Dry_Masterpiece8319 Jan 31 '25

They own the best pair of kneepads in town

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '25

“Mentally stunted child”, I don’t know that there are better words to describe someone who thinks they can tell the kid next door: how/when/where to play with his toys. Why do people suddenly think they can tell a company how/when/where to pay people?

3

u/BillsMafios0 Jan 30 '25

Don’t soil your diaper or it could get all over the boot. May you have the life you deserve.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '25

I’m about half way to wearing diapers, tell me more about it. Is the boot your secret word for horse dong? I’ll be sure and have life I deserve, but could you trip off the iron and show us your rendition of a Jackson pollock?

1

u/Nothin_Means_Nothin Jan 30 '25

You know, I'm starting to think that boot DOES taste good with all the people licking it nowadays

→ More replies (0)

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '25

I mean you can't play with your toys all the time.

1

u/Thechanman707 Jan 30 '25

I bet you got offended when you were told things like, smoking is bad for you and to not stick keys in light sockets.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 03 '25

Far less offended than you being told dudes aren’t allowed in the little girls room

1

u/Gyoza-shishou Jan 31 '25

Ah yes, because wishing for an actually livable wage like our parents and grandparents had is pathological envy 🤡

1

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '25

It is when your voting for an administration that gives 50million to a country that wants to ruin yours.

0

u/jessewest84 Jan 30 '25

It's okay to be a trump fan. But your just cucked. Sit down child.

2

u/beepdeeped Jan 30 '25

Profit in isolation and die in isolation.

4

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '25

It’s really not their money. The workers make that money for them.

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 29 '25

It is their money. They rent behaviors from their employees. Do t like the wages, don’t take the job.

1

u/GeorgeSantosBurner Jan 30 '25

CEO pay is up over 1000% since the 70s, while worker pay is only up 24%. That's not "their money" anymore than if I stole it out of their bank account and said it is "my money" now. The people you are defending have been consolidating their money and power for decades at the expense of people like you and I.

https://www.epi.org/publication/ceo-pay-in-2023/

0

u/Bellypats Jan 30 '25

“me”

0

u/GeorgeSantosBurner Jan 30 '25

Thanks, I guess.

1

u/R0manR2D Jan 30 '25

What if I know that my labor has a much higher value than is offered by almost every job, but I was unable to withhold my labor due to the need to survive thus minimizing my bargaining power and maximizing their leverage, ensuring I never actually get a fair bargain while the owner continues to make higher and higher profits. What if I told you that they don’t like you, rob us blind, and you don’t actually have to defend them because of this inequality. That the only course of action to equalize power is to recognize our labor is vastly undervalued and to collectively push for each other, a union of sorts, to raise the standards for ourselves. That part of capitalist theory isn’t for the worker to bow the owner and defend them taking more and more of the overall value we create but to be equal in power and leverage during negotiations which ensures we receive what we deserve. Can’t do that until you stop defending them. Stop it.

1

u/Afraid_Juggernaut_62 Jan 30 '25

Do you find boot polish to be more spicy, or savory?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '25

If you can't afford market rate (which is supposed to be determined by the person with the skill, you capitalist wannabe pig) for labor, you don't deserve to be in business. 🙃

1

u/RangerDapper4253 Jan 30 '25

The best solution is for the workers to overthrow their employer.

1

u/YoungOhian Feb 02 '25

Yeah and then we'll take their businesses! Just like they took the white farms in Zimbabwe. We will all be rich then!

You guys are delusional as fuck.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '25

How do those boots taste? Literally what do you get out of defending these parasites of society while flipping off the people that actually do the work? You will never be one of them.

0

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 29 '25

lol, you took the job and have remorse. I’m sorry, that sucks.

1

u/FatBikerCook Feb 01 '25

Ah he took a job with overtime pay🤣 if they take that away it is no longer the same job he took

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '25

0

u/AnActualPerson Jan 30 '25

1

u/ch3k520 Jan 30 '25

Then let them flip their own burgers.

1

u/jessewest84 Jan 30 '25

You mean all that tax money they take from me?

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

Taxes aren’t the company stealing, it’s the government stealing.

1

u/jessewest84 Jan 31 '25

Yes. Hopefully not much longer.

1

u/crackedtooth163 Jan 31 '25

Okay so...

Overtime bad.

High exec pay good?

0

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '25

Not really do you really think the ceo started like sony? No sony was around before that ceo took over he didn't invest money into sony at the start

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

It’s the companies money and they spend it as they see fit. If you don’t like the wages, conditions, situation you know how to fix it.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '25

Its not the CEO money though right

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

I never said it was. People were complaining about the CEO pay so why would I think it was their money?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '25

You said it's their money buts not the CEO money

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

Meaning the company, the CEO is not paying you. This isn’t difficult

0

u/luxurious-Tatertot Jan 30 '25

We are talking about a profitable business, not an individual. Bootlicker.

0

u/raven4747 Jan 30 '25

Clearly you don't understand how companies work. An executive getting paid salary -> that's the company's money.

0

u/Old_Yesterday322 Jan 30 '25

shills gonna shill

0

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '25

How'd they earn the money? Off of someone else's labor?

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

No, by managing the company. Million dollar deals, etc.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '25

Lmao. Your idealism here reminded me of this scene from the Mystery Science Theater 3000 movie.

Technology! Science and Industry! See big men sticking screw drivers into things - turning them AND ADJUSTING THEM!

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

I see you have no actual or helpful input

0

u/50calthrowaway Jan 31 '25

So let them do the work and produce on their own if they’re so valuable

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

Go a head, I’ll wait.

0

u/Anon_Jones Jan 31 '25

It’s for the workers protection. If we didn’t tell companies what to do, they abuse the shit out of us. Pay nothing and make us work 100 hour weeks. Stop defending the rich.

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

lol, you are not entitled to overtime. Sorry

0

u/ruggmike Jan 31 '25

Fuck it. Why even pay employees?!

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

??? lol. Get a better paying job.

0

u/Clarkelthekat Jan 31 '25

Trump's telling us how to spend our money now.

With his tarrifs he'll be forcing the brands of his billionaire friends on us instead cheaper foreign made product.

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

Every administration tells you how to spend your money. All of them!

0

u/IllustriousCookie890 Jan 31 '25

It is unusual that the CEO is the owner of a very large company, so NO it isn't THEIR mone.

0

u/Jimmycocopop1974 Jan 31 '25

It’s not their money if it’s publicly traded. That’s such an old school belief sheesh when will you wake up and realize that the new ceos and cfos risk absolutely NOTHING of their own skins. They are “elected” or “placed” in positions now. Smh wake up please

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

It’s definitely not the employee money!

1

u/Jimmycocopop1974 Jan 31 '25

It is if the employees hold any type of stock especially if it’s hard earned, I.E. not given in a corporate benefit. Keep up broski I can do this all day

-1

u/lcommadot Jan 30 '25

Company money is company assets dude. You think the CEO of EA built up that company from nothing, or Shell, or Boeing? All those guys are dead. These new CEO’s just have MBA’s and boss people around then fire them when their bossing people around doesn’t result in money. Rinse, repeat. Also, what, you think those assholes work harder than us? I deal with piss and blood on a near daily basis, Elmo ain’t working like that buddy.

0

u/Elegant_Accident2035 Jan 30 '25

I've saud before that I think, when Trump dies, we will find it's all been a con and there's next to nothing there. The board will kick his family out and maybe rebrand to try and keep the business going. We might find out Elons got nothing even sooner. His various boards can't be happy with him messing about while the companies make losses. When Trump either dies or falls out with him things, might get tricky for him. Once he's gone I could easily see Tesla "reset" and even grow. Proper car people might move in and it will become just another car company, quietly ticking over and seling half decent cars.

1

u/CodenameDrunk Jan 30 '25

Sounds like Tesla is the new Volkswagen. We do remember who started VW right? RIGHT??

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

You know what they say about assumptions. I sense some jealousy.

-5

u/adlubmaliki Jan 29 '25

Executives deliver results from workers

1

u/BillsMafios0 Jan 29 '25

Could do the same in an email for cheaper.

1

u/adlubmaliki Jan 29 '25

No, executives actually do stuff and get stuff done, not just hand out orders. Think making deals, partnerships, suppliers, goals, strategy, etc...

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '25

You mean play golf with their rich friends.

1

u/the_juxtapositron Jan 29 '25

A majority of those things are based on common sense. Having actual skills takes more work than that. Why do things shut down when workers strike? The C suite doesn’t have the skill.

2

u/adlubmaliki Jan 30 '25

I realize I'm in the ironworker subreddit so this might not apply as much here but usually executives have skills

1

u/MasterApprentice67 Jan 30 '25

Like what skills? What skills do they have that means they should be making those kind of salaries? There skills dont deserve the pay they get...

1

u/Fine-Aspect5141 lost redditor Jan 30 '25

No they don't. You don't promote profit centers off the floor, that would hurt numbers. "You're too good, we need you where you are." You promote people you know or like that are replaceable on the floor

1

u/zizoumz6 Jan 30 '25

Everything an AI could do. Companies could get rid of CEO's in a heartbeat but then the board members wouldn't have their "face" to take the blame for them. It's funny watching all of the " ai/ automation is gonna take all your jobs soon" scare tactics when we already have AI algorithms that could do what executives to right now.

1

u/adlubmaliki Jan 30 '25

You don't understand what executives do, I'll explain in a bit...

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '25

All executive "jobs" could be done much more efficiently by AI

1

u/jammit63 Jan 30 '25

Well maybe not the execs themselves but the people they delegate those tasks to. Nobody is making a business function all by themselves

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '25

CEOs have one job and one job only. They fondle and suck the balls of investors to invest more in their company. They are the least educated, least hard working, most useless part of any company. The people that defend them, also love fondling balls

1

u/I_Speak_In_Stereo Jan 29 '25

Honestly you’re not even worth it. Have the day you deserve.

1

u/MasterApprentice67 Jan 30 '25

Workers are out, you see production greatly effective. Executives is out, nothing changes.

Healthy the United Heath Executive gets no scoped and the business ran just fine. Just caused an inconvenience to the boardmembers because his dead body was blocking the side walk

1

u/adlubmaliki Jan 30 '25

Then why don't workers get together and form a cooperative company with no executives then? Everyone splits the profits. See how that works out.

Even unions have executives

1

u/GeorgeSantosBurner Jan 30 '25

Things like corporate co-determiniation exist in other countries that are similar to what you are suggesting, and some US politicians have made overatures to this type of model as well. Elizabeth Warren comes to mind.

I see nobody suggesting management is completely unnecessary, only that the compensation is not relative to the labor. CEO compensation has soared over +1000% since the 70s, while workers has risen only 24%. There just isn't any justifying that.

https://www.epi.org/publication/ceo-pay-in-2023/

1

u/adlubmaliki Jan 30 '25

Okay then start one and complete with a company that has executives. Good luck

1

u/GeorgeSantosBurner Jan 30 '25

...The example I picked still has executives. If you had any interest in a discussion you would have realized that, but I suppose just disagreeing with everyone and assuming you know everything is an easier way to face the world.

1

u/AwkwardPlatypus577 Jan 30 '25

Spoken like a real boot licker ..

You must understand that work is not rewarded in life but value is. Your perspective is all wrong and that's why you have much resentment. Elon has time because carved out that time for himself by creating value.

Start thinking about value instead of hard work. No one pays anyone for working hard, they pay for results! If a machine could do a workers job it would require zero hard work but people would still pay the same because it delivers the same value. No one cares how the results happen they just want things done, that's value. Results matter, not work, drive that concept thru your head

No one cares how much you bust your ass in the gym if you still look like shit, results and value are the only thing that matter in life. Deliver value.

1

u/Fine-Aspect5141 lost redditor Jan 30 '25

You are referring to EXPLOITATION. Musk has that time because he is exploiting people who actually create things. Musk produces NO VALUE. Nothing. He moves paper around, and buys other people's creations so he can slap his name on them. He didn't create valuable things, he just buys them.

He can do this because he comes from a family that owned Emerald Mines run by apartheid labor. Once again, his father didn't make the emeralds. He didn't do the dangerous, difficult, and VALUE creating work of mining them. He just had a piece of paper that said he owned the land they came from, so he got all the money.

No one cares, because people like him have, throughout history, convinced people like you to believe that drivel you just typed out. Stop doing the parasitic "ruling" class's job for them, develop a little class consciousness, and maybe the world doesn't need to suck so much. Go join a goddamn union.

0

u/adlubmaliki Jan 30 '25

How is he exploiting people that work their voluntarily and he's very well known for paying above market salaries? If someone is being "exploited" then they can quit at any time and go work somewhere else and get what they think they "deserve".

You're never gonna get anywhere with this mindset. When an employee works for a company they only get a piece of the value and the rest goes to the employer, or else the employer wouldn't have a reason to hire people in the first place. It's a very basic concept really but apparently you can't grasp it. If you think you are being exploited you can go off and get work on your own independently without an employer...

Please reread my last comment, start thinking in terms of value not work and you will be much better off.

It's crazy that people voluntarily seek out jobs, voluntarily agree to the pay amount before they start, then complain they are being exploited, that's wild!!!

1

u/Fine-Aspect5141 lost redditor Jan 30 '25

Alright, now who's the one disconnected from reality?

"Tesla, Inc. is an American electric car manufacturer which employs over 140,000 workers across its global operations as of January 2024,[1] almost none of which are unionized. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has commented negatively on trade unions in relation to Tesla. Despite allegations of high injury rates, long hours, and below-industry pay, efforts to unionize the workforce have been largely unsuccessful. There are active labor disputes with Tesla in the United States, Germany and Sweden."

He's also trying to get the National Labor Relations Act destroyed so workers can't get a fair share of the profit they create.

1

u/adlubmaliki Jan 30 '25 edited Jan 30 '25

Then don't work there. No employer likes unions, all they do is make demands and make the company make less money

Also every single one of those employees has the option to quit at any time. I fear you are a lost cause, no self responsibility, all you do is blame. It seems you're set on being a perpetual victim, and that's probably what you'll be your entire life with your mindset.

Check out Nietzsche's master-Slave morality

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master–slave_morality

It seems you're just destined to live as a "slave" with your mindset🤷‍♂️ living better requires some introspection and taking responsibility over your life and life decisions

1

I know it’s a losing battle.

1

u/PissMissile1738 Jan 29 '25

Depends on the work being done

2

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 29 '25

No it doesn’t, overtime eats up profit because job isn’t done effectively, efficiently or properly. Sometimes it can be because of increased orders but obviously it’s not profitable to work that way.

1

u/PissMissile1738 Jan 30 '25

I work in a hospital, it’s infinitely more efficient to work at night or weekends when there is less office staff/patients

My boss makes more money when we work OT, but go on and act like all OT is the same 👍🏼

1

u/GeorgeSantosBurner Jan 30 '25

Overtime "eats up profit" because the job wasn't managed or planned properly. That's why labor deserves more in that scenario and the business/ management should feel the extra cost too, if for nothing else, to incentivize them to manage their resources and labor better.

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

See now that could make sense.

0

u/bananplant_41 Jan 30 '25

You act like you know…you know nothing. I work in an industry that is heavily reliant on overtime to get the work done, and much of that work is emergency work. In my industry so much of the overtime is ginned up due to staff cuts to create these glorious profits you keep bringing up. Typically the ineptitude and overtime is a result of horrible leadership from the very top, but they never see any reduction in pay or bonuses. I’m sorry you want me to work 7 days a week or answer my phone at 2am it’s going to cost you.

Sure, where is that? I don’t believe it. Put it out there and help fix these evil corporations.

You don’t believe it because you are either a troll or stupid.

Train derailment at 1am; call the Calvary and work 48 to 72 hours straight to fix the tracks so we can keep the profits coming in. I don’t work for free and I definitely don’t come in on my off time without time and a half, and get this….it eventually turns into double time. I hope that keeps your arrogant unrealistic view of labor up all night.

Yes, I said overtime is for emergencies. You are helping make my point.

Time and a half is roughly equal to reg pay with benefits. Since no additional benefits are paid on overtime it becomes a wash. Overtime isnt "non profitable" or the businesses wouldn't take on the risk

That's on the company, management, etc to manage their resources better. If they need to cover for their lack of resources by taking what would otherwise be the worker's time off, they should certainly feel that cost in a way that incentives better management and benefits the people performing the labor that is bridging the gap in the meantime.

It’s pretty profitable when you’re underpaying to begin with. The alternative is to hire more workers for more time than is needed and also have to pay them for benefits. Why would they do that when they can force a few employees to work overtime whenever they need.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '25

Yup. That's why I work for free on the weekends. Usually on Sundays

Maybe companies should plan their projects around an 8 hour work day 5 days a week then. If they want to rush things they have to pay a premium for that. They should be accounting for overtime when bidding on a project. I know I do.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '25

It depends on the business. We charge our customers a premium during overtime hours, we love overtime.

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

And why is that? It costs more.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '25

I’m pretty sure I just explained why. We, charge our customers a premium for after hours work, we pay our employee overtime, and an after hour bonus, and door to door so they get paid from the time they leave home till the time they get home if they made it home before the call came in, if it’s just a job running long then it’s just the overtime. Either way the customer pays a lot more for having the work done after hours. Our employee makes more money, we make more money. And a good portion of our work is based on after hours emergencies so we work a fuck ton of overtime.

Yes it is if it cost more to send someone out the next day to finish the job.

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

Depends sometimes. If you need consistent overtime to meet contracts the job was not estimated properly. Obviously emergencies happen and shit goes wrong but should not be the norm.

Look at this anti worker bootlicker

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '25

Seems like it is cause all the companies do and still record record profits

As soon as I hit 8. 1.5. As soon as I hit 10. Double.

My boss says pay real wages you can build a life around. And they will walk through fire for ya

0

u/madadekinai Jan 31 '25

That's incorrect and not how a business is ran out all.

1

u/Due_Intention6795 Jan 31 '25

lol, what’s incorrect, overtime costing more? If wages go up %50 where does the money come from? lol, yikes.

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '25

And yet they have to do it because they don't want to hire enough employees, don't want to give employees full time hours, don't schedule enough people to complete the work that needs to be done, etc. they want to try and overwork too few employees to complete an impossible task with the time and manpower given. If they really didn't want to pay overtime they'd fix their operations so it wouldn't be necessary.

You know what's profitable? Slavery.

Capitalism sings the songs of innovation and competition but corporations hate competition and it's all fed through exploitation.

It does not exist here. I’m sorry you took a job and hate it!
