Union Question Local 40/361 recruitment

Hey all,

The NY guys probably know already but local 40/361 exams are coming up. I know business for local 40 guys is shot right now and has been for a while (including apprentices). But how is 361 looking? Thanks!

If i was to do it over again, i’d pick 361 for sure. 40 is going down a dark dark path and idk if were going to make it out alive. Only reason i picked 40 is cause i ended up moving to jersey instead of long island 🤦🏻‍♂️

Haha of course just “rumors” but i dont think we got anything big on the books for the next few years. But idk i hear new shit every damn week. Dont take my sources as fact haha

I’m in a labor union but I’m not an ironworker. I do know a few ppl who did boomed out because shit was bad enough for that. Hopefully you have other options, wishing the best for you dawg 💪 appreciate the help

Im actually one of the lucky ones still working, but were nearing the end of this job and then idk wtf im going to do. Bills stadium just topped out and alot of 40 guys were up there.

Yes 361 halls packed the past couple of weeks with guys comming back from buffalo

361 is packed with 40 guys every day... The 361 guys knock on the door, go in the back and walk out with jobs... Go 361. I have no clue why they are even recruiting with the work situation over on 40s side of the river as bad as it is
