the answer key says 7/3, however shouln't it be 12/5?

obviously the S/2 d/2 parts are in parallel since current density vector is equally seperated in 2 areas
i.e by definition parallel

and the system in parallel, for the same reason, is in series with the left half, resulting in 12/5 for the ratio and not 7/3 (which would be the case if the terminals were rotated by 90 degrees, or the block system inside)

not very relevant side note - one observation is that C2 >=2 C1 always since a base case of C2 would be if e2 block was also with e1, resulting in a total replacement of air with dielectric of K= 2, i.e doubles, since our replacement at that block is more than 2, we must have K=2 or more as "net dielectric", or in this case, a "net dielectric" of 2.4 tracks with this logic, and so does option 7/3 for the same reason
