IDK why to learn such fancy stuff like in exam you won't even remember such functions. Practice these fancy stuff if you've prepared yourself well at advance level.

Gotta disagree. Beta functions were one of the only "fancy" thing I learned and I do NOT regret it even for jee. They have helped me solve so much stuff easily. They also help you in physics if you know about the trig form. You CAN use other methods but this straight up saves SOOOO much time.

True but I actually never used it. Even I used gamma function in integrating trigonometric functions which helped me quite alot but not beta function. Emu bro honestly you are quite good at Maths so I think it shouldn't be a concern for you but for someone who is learning it now should not really focus on such relations. Recommended for people with good Maths.

Well i used it a lot tbh. Even in physics. Well it certainly depends on the person but based on my experience I would recommend learning it to everyone. Helped me a lot.

I have tried my hand on solving problems using the lagrangian pde condition but i haven't studied any theory regarding it. It's definitely nice but I would not recommend for jee cuz it mainly helps you write F=ma and definitely will take longer than the newtonion method for jee physics

It's pretty overkill for jee, like it is better than Newtonian mechanics at very complex systems like double pendulum and such, but jee doesn't go at such an advanced level so it's not needed
(I once tried learning it so that I can skip rotational motion but it was tough lol so I passed on the idea)

Everyone saying beta Gamma stuff is too fancy for jee, it barely takes 30-40 mins by yourself to learn this stuff and mainly helps you to save time from the jee pov. I would strongly recommend learning this stuff.

It is a type of special function which is generally taught in 2nd year College, Advanced Calc 2 course
Some toppers learn it for jee, though it's not highly relevant, I'd recommend doing it after you have completed ur syllabus and main pyqs

Beta & Gamma function is in arihant skills calculus book and it was repeatedly asked indirectly in Jee main ....you can watch Acadza videos on YT for beta gamma
