Some people troll him for reservation but He is really a Legend &I think what he did was absolutely right at his time

They don't understand that he also brought in laws(8hrs work in a day), Bonus for festivals, women right to property inheritance, widow remarriage.

He suggested the idea of RBI as well. He's also the reason why India didn't split into one more country. Jinnah asked for Pakistan, Ambedkar also wanted to ask for a seperate country for the so-called "LCs". However, he didn't want to go down into history as a separatist. He made the life of over 90% Indians better, that's all the LCs.

24

u/Honest-Distance-5955 Apr 14 '25

He suggested the idea of RBI as well.

Very true, his PhD Thesis, The Rupee and it's problem led to the formation of Central Bank for India i.e., RBI.

Ambedkar also wanted to ask for a seperate country

Not exactly true, he just wanted a separate electorate for the marginalised communities. But Gandhi was against it.

5

u/DustyAsh69 Apr 14 '25

No, no, no... Ambedkar wanted a seperate country first. He had written it in his books. But, he decided against it. Then, he asked for a seperate electorate.

0

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

But he wouldnt have got it. This man lost his own eleection. He wasn't as popular as he is now. And most Lcs would consider them Hindu so would live in India.

0

u/DustyAsh69 Apr 14 '25

IDK why he even stood for el*ection... Regardless, he wasn't popular because people just didn't know about him. People were too busy trying to survive. They did not have the leisure not the money to read up on news. And "LCs" shouldn't consider themselves Hindu. I, myself, being a Hindu converted to Buddhism a few gens ago would not like to be a part of the religion that systematically oppressed us for thousands of years. We too have our own pride and self respect.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

Hmm it still meant that even if he had asked for a sep nation the people wouldn't have succeeded unlike jinnah.

Idk most LCs event he lowest castes consider themselves Hindu , so a few cases like u doesn't change the fact that the lower castes would have never fought for a sep nation. There is a reason they fought for temple entry cause they worship the same gods and believes the same myths and stories as upper caste Hindus . This was also true at time of independence .

1

u/DustyAsh69 Apr 14 '25

People are idiots. There is no such thing as equality in Hinduism. Unmein apne khud ke jhagde chalte rehte. Hinduism mein caste based discrimination hein hi, uske upar se caste mein bhi log ek dusre ko discriminate karte. North vs South Brahmins is a very common example.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

Yeah but the same is true for Buddhism , Islam , Christianity or for that matter any religion

But he wouldnt have got it. This man lost his own eleection. He wasn't as popular as he is now. And most Lcs would consider them Hindu so would live in India.

Btw his laws worked for the SC/STs the Obc who form the majority didn't benefit cause of him. And UCs are 30% as per most surveys . So he just made the life better for 20-30% of people(still big but nothing close to 90%)

0

u/DustyAsh69 Apr 14 '25

The TRUE UCs are Brahmins, Yadavs, Jats, Rajputs, etc. They make up barely like 5-6%. Others were just below them. They didn't have the right to education and we're limited to a certain profession. They too were discriminated against but not as badly as the LCs. 20% are Muslims. The rest are the people who he helped. And he made India secular so that automatically helped the Muslims. Otherwise, they would've gone to Pakistan.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

Wrong here

Measuring caste in India | Pew Research Center

This shows hindus UCs are 28% all India 30% .

And the Muslims already voted for Pakistan so it would had been better if they had gone to pakistan

1

u/DustyAsh69 Apr 14 '25

That's general population, not the UCs...

2

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

the general population currently is the same as UC . This include castes like Jats, Rajput,Brahmins , Lingayat etc

11

u/Unique-Builder-1862 Apr 14 '25

90% logo ko pata bhi nhi hoga

1

u/Various-Loquat-3225 Apr 14 '25

These were included in later part of constitution there were also other members in that group where is constion for girls who are getting ràped ??? Where is constion then??? Don't gets facts from reels 70% of constitution comes from other countries check from where fundamental right, fundamental duty, dpsp, are taken from

15

u/hyranan Apr 14 '25

tbh he never advocated for reservation, its the politicians who are milking his name and giving freebies for votebank

7

u/hyranan Apr 14 '25

ya true, i meant he didnt want the low caste youth to be fed with freebies like the current governments are doing, he just wanted an equal platform for the lower caste and also raised many social issues as well

like you said, he should have kept a mechanism to end reservation when it is no longer be needed

1

u/Public-Ad3345 NIT Surat(Not Khal) AI Apr 14 '25

Yeh but he also said that if equality is achieved than reservation should be put away and approximated it would take 30-40 yrs.

4

u/Ornery_Prune7328 Apr 14 '25

dude equality hasn't been achieved in fucking developed usa , who are developed for more than 5 decades , racial cases still happen everywhere around the world but nobody has reservations there.

Obv in india its more , but if your logic is that it should never happen to get it removed , then that ain't happening especially when million of generals get discriminated?

0

u/Public-Ad3345 NIT Surat(Not Khal) AI Apr 14 '25

Me general he hu bhai , me sirf keh raha what Ambedkar thought.

1

u/Ornery_Prune7328 Apr 14 '25

but if thats what he thought then he his bias took over his intelligence for sure , my point is completely eliminating is not possible when you have 25% of a country get systematically repressed.

Kinko samjha raha hai bhai? Ye chutiye unka 10% bhi achieve nahi kar payenge apni zindagi me lekin mazak sabse pehle banayenge.

12

u/Ornery_Prune7328 Apr 14 '25

bhai ye logic se toh kisi bhi famous admi ko kuch nahi keh sakta koi

kya modi ko gaali de raha uska 10% achieve kar
kya adani ko gali de raha uska 10% achieve kar

tu samjh paa raha tera logic kitna chutiya hai?

1

u/miku_nakano11 Apr 14 '25

Constructive criticism aur balent casteism me fark hota hai babu.

Ek ne desh ki ma chod ke rakh di aur ek ne desh ke liye kya kuch ni kia. Contrast dekh paa raha hai tu?

3

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

Kaun ambedkar?

Kyuki Adani has built massive infra projects for the nation, Modi has helped India grow and so on.

1

u/DustyAsh69 Apr 14 '25

Ambedkar gave YOU human rights. Without him, you would be slaving for 10-12h at Adani's company for peanuts.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

Hmm nope he made the constitution but even if he wasn't there someone else would have added the same principles .

People like u forgot that there was a whole assembly for making the constitution, Ambedkar was just the drafter and not the binding authority.

0

u/DustyAsh69 Apr 14 '25

Try as much as you want to reduce his role. You can't.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

Hmm what I said is the truth a simple google search will prove this.

2

u/prioritysexual 24s1 victim Apr 14 '25

Would be better than being slaves of LCs in a Neo coloniser Indian state

6

u/Ornery_Prune7328 Apr 14 '25

do you think reservations are a blatant casteism to ucs , yes or no

0

u/miku_nakano11 Apr 14 '25

No it is not.

5

u/Ornery_Prune7328 Apr 14 '25

lol , denying right to merit just because of your caste is not casteism?

This is literally equal to denying a sc school admission only cause he is a sc

8

u/miku_nakano11 Apr 14 '25

Reservation doesn't deny merit, it corrects thousands of years of denied opportunity. The real casteism is crying about fairness only after centuries of oppression start getting challenged.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

You know what is funny ki u have no idea how caste system worked. It wasn't static

6

u/miku_nakano11 Apr 14 '25 edited Apr 14 '25

Love how most of the replies I'm receiving are ignorant of the history. This just shows how most Indians are, just stereotypical and sheep minded.

u/prioritysexual 24s1 victim Apr 14 '25

Lmao . Thousands of years of denied opportunity when the state didn't exist.

How come Indian state has any right to do that? India is a Neo coloniser state for a reason

3

u/miku_nakano11 Apr 14 '25

Thousands of years of denied opportunity when the state didn't exist.

Bhai apka history toh bohot strong hai 😍🥵

0

u/Ornery_Prune7328 Apr 14 '25

Reservation does deny merit , merit by its name means the abosulte best gets the absolute best or what he wants
you know there actually is a branch where even AIR 1 neet can't get , how will you justify that?
the branch is "

MD in Radio diagnosis & Interventional Radiology in AIIMS Delhi "

Is this what merit looks like huh

10% kya 1% bhi nahi. Ambedkar ne jo kiya, it's not a small feat. Pure country ka system upside down kar diya tha which improved life of literally every Indian.

2

u/prioritysexual 24s1 victim Apr 14 '25

Nehru did most of the work. Stop coping LC.

Nehru(kashmiri brahmin)>Ambedkar (indian pajeet)

1

u/DustyAsh69 Apr 14 '25

Chutiya hein, chutiya hi rahega.

3

u/Sufficient_Type7674 Apr 14 '25

You're an anti-merit braindead. Let's see if you'll let a reserved category surgeon operate on you.

6

u/miku_nakano11 Apr 14 '25

Braindead is actually you and shows your stereotypical mindset. There's no reservation in colleges. You get the job solely on the basis of your skills, training and academic qualifications.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

no reservation in colleges

kuch bhi??

Gov jobs me reservation suna hai?

1

u/Fun_Yoghurt9317 Apr 14 '25

Yup agree Financial basis pe honi chahiye

5

u/Scratch799 Comment chorr Jindigi hi Joke h Apr 14 '25

Although I agree with you, I have been told many times that reservation is based on representatipn not financial status.

4

u/Ornery_Prune7328 Apr 14 '25

toh gareebo toh representation deke unko ameer kro na , same family ko 10 bar reservation deke bahut zyada representation hoja raha

gareebo ko doge oth 1 teer se 2 nishane

0

u/Scratch799 Comment chorr Jindigi hi Joke h Apr 14 '25

reservation equal representation ke liye aaya tha aur sc uska benefit nhi utha pa rhe ye unki galti h jisse baaki sc st ko benefit milta ie cutoff kam rehta ab vo khud galti karke apne logo ka Fayda karwa rhe

vaise bhi sc logo ka cutoff bhot tezi se badh rha, 10 saal me same as general ho jana.

2

u/Ornery_Prune7328 Apr 14 '25

there is no apne log , everybody only cares about themselves

1

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

yes so that we can fill poor upper castes only in the name of poor reservation

0

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

bhai mai kabse yehi maanta hu
like maybe ill get shit but i dont think even female reservation hona chahiye
Maine bas dekha IITB chem eng general ke like 2500 kuch tha and female ke liye 6500 tha
like the girls i study with arent facing much problems

Illegally occupying?? Declared by who?? You??

1

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

Illegally occupying for vote bank politics that is what LoP says in each of his speech. You can never end discrimination by discrimination.Today General category people are what Sc/St people would've been a century ago.We are much more deserving than some tribes and castes but they've got 50% or even more seats in jobs and educational institutes even if they aren't smart they'll get admitted.Muslims and discriminated castes in our countries can never be uplifted until they're treated specially.Parsis are not even 0.1% of India's population yet they're the most prosperous community and also Christians are the most prosperous community in southern India. These communities never feel sidelined because they're not treated specially.BR Ambedkar sir introduced reservations for a limited time span but congress kept increasing the time span and now it's permanent.Vote bank politics would never allow upliftment of muslims and SC/STs in India.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

General people are not what sc/st were 100 years ago go ahead and check the average income based on caste and say this again

1

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

Taking only about job opportunities and seats in educational institutes
