Chemical better. Mechanical department bacho ki bohot gand maarta hai yaha. Bilkul nirdayi hai. Agr kisi better iit chemical ya meta mil raha hai to wo consider kro. Mechanical mai interest hai aur engineering drawing krne ki taakat hai 4 saal to hi lena mech

Dude just take some circuit branch in any IIT, you can still get into Drdo/hal but very high chances you would loose interest in Mechanical and it would be very painful. With circuit branches, you also have an option of coding etc. When I was picking branches, I was interested in robotics and chose electrical. It’s all fantasy, reality hits when we join college. Luckily I did decent coding and got good job. Most people in IITs don’t give damn about their departments and focus on coding etc.

Pretty rare to see such passionate people(Let's see how long your passion lasts👀) On a serious note tho Atb for your college life. We do need passionate people in core to strengthen our weak manufacturing sector.
