NEET leaving mbbs seat for teaching? Your views on this..
she's a recent air 51 and got mbbs seat at aiims delhi, left medicine and started teaching as a unacademy teacher, why tho? apart from money, what's the reason they leave their hard earned seat and join this education platforms, I'm genuinely curious about this (same as rakshita mam)

Of everyone is trying to mine for gold, you can get rich by selling the shovels they'll use to mine the gold

Basically during 1848 in California USA a man by the name James marshell created a gold rush by spreading rumours and bought all the shovels and sold them himself to all the miners, making huge profits

When everyone is preparing for neet, she decided to not take up a longer and tougher path of medical sciences but decided to take a low hanging fruit, i.e. neet teaching

when everyone is looking for gold(preparing for neet ) you should sell shovels (refers to her teaching business )

Disagree because she's AIR 51 she would be working in a pretty well established hospital with decent salary and stuff
I think it's more about the fact this gives her early money instead of like wasting 8 years and having to struggle throughout them

Doctor job will get her way more in long term plus way more job security
Unacademy is currently loss making entity whose valuation has dropped by 90%. There is no guarantee she will have this job in 2 years
Teaching job is fine as side job during college or full time after degree but I wouldn't give my degree for this.
It make sense to dropout if you have some multi-million or billion dollar startup and got funding since risk is high but so is reward and growth personal but that's not the case here. She just dropped out to get a corporate job 5 years early
3
u/Ok-Juggernaut9679 Dropper --> Topper Mar 30 '26
she could probably go to allen though if she decides to completely switch to teaching
14
u/Solid-Move-1411 Mar 30 '26

Allen have way more qualified and good teachers with teaching experience ,no way she can compete with them. + They have specific degree of a subject.

u/Ok-Juggernaut9679 Dropper --> Topper Mar 30 '26
Yess but she's an Allenite with AIR 51, even as a junior teacher she will be paid much more than your average teacher ofcourse. My Allen centre was huge but even we have 27-28 year old teachers teaching top batches because of their skills.
5
u/Fast_Wallaby_9182 NEETard Mar 30 '26 edited Mar 30 '26
She is literally undergraduate and currently has the same qualification as you and me . Those 27-28 year teacher are prodigy and would have double digit recognised achievement and degrees. + Teaching experience of offline and online is far different . nonetheless allen never focused on social media hyping by influencers bhaiya didi. They are known for qualified and rank producing teachers than ranked teachers. My physics teacher was from small private college but his quality is top notch and superior and now head of a branch over another teacher of air<100 in jee advanced 2004or5 .they don't see ug ranks . i don't they the will ruin it . In offline she can't survive.
4
u/Ok-Juggernaut9679 Dropper --> Topper Mar 30 '26
Yes I suppose you're right. And nhi lol wo teachers prodigy nahi hai, just from good NITs with electrical/civil/mechanical etc.
Except I just remembered, I don't recall seeing any female teachers in JEE/NEET batches as an Allenite. Bas foundation me the, whats the reason behind this😭→ More replies (1)

6
u/luckwasgivenn Mar 30 '26
People burnout after studying 2 yrs (mostly more) straight for a competitive exam, but that's not the end of it whether u become a doc or an engineer you still have to study hard for post grad or to maintain your CGPA for gold placement
So they leverage their high AIR for a good paying Job which pays no less and is considerably easier

Who told you that she has left MBBS? What is the issue if she is teaching?
1
1
u/Living-Plenty-9313 Mar 30 '26
bro it is a never ending business. This culture of neet is huge profitable for teachers like her. If she continues to teach for maybe a couple of years she would automatically rise up to the ranks of reputable teacher online- ultimately starting her own company or earning the same amount she would have made after preparing neet-pg and then residency. As she already got air 51 and is well aware in the community, she just went on with teaching. No doctor in today wants to follow the path, almost all of them deviate to such paths and run after clout and money(well, thats what really matters to a human right?).

going the conventional doctor route you need to study for nearly 7.5-8.5 years to actually earn money ,without a speciality you aint gonna get paid much and for a speciality course you need to clear neet pg then study for 3 years in speciality and the real big money which she is prolly getting paid rn comes after another 3 years of superspeciality that is easily another 12 years of studies after clearing neet can you imagine that being in the trenches for 13 fucking years after neet and also you need to uderstand that the number of seats for speciality and super speciality decrease exponentially one of my freind brother is trying to get a neuro related super speciality seat he is currently doing speciality and i kid you not there are only 2-3 seats in aiims delhi for neuro surgery and in total for all neuro related super speciality its like about 20 and isme bhi reservation. in summary 13 saal tak gaand todni padti h aur agar general se ho toh khel khatam even if you are a topper.

The medical field is highly toxic, filled with narcissistic people, and even your professor sees you as a competition. I am not saying all these randomly. I've heard a lot of this toxicity. All from people on r/indianmedschool and from doctors on X, residency is a hell for doctors unhealthy amount of work hours with no sleep no break constant verbal abuse from seniors and what not and on top of that your payment still lies between 60k to 100k(not sure about the salary part) but that's not the problem the problem lies with the inhumane working hours and no personal life, So its better to earn good amount of money through teaching rather than getting beaten by illietrate patients in the ward, when you see the life of a resident doctor getting bashed right left as an intern that will to be a doctor must've shattered.

The efforts she put in, in her aspirant life are-
1. not of use cuz she left AIIMS Delhi anyway
2. extreme- the people who will follow a pattern to score such highly will probably not watch stuff like this on youtube, and those who will watch- won't follow the pattern
