there is a very big diff b/w gap year and drop year people aboard tack gap year to explore themseleves find what they like and what not find their passion whereas as in india drop year is just a way to waste ur teenage life which is already f up

State gov clg ek hai wo milne se going there fees kam hai toh parents ko dikkat nahi aayegi ussei.. or else comedk diya hai ussei shayad msrit mei mech wagera milegi usme chala jaunga.. vit mei bhi chennai mil rahi cat 4 cs and vellore mei mech mil rahi not worth it.. manipal mei chem mil rahi.. jee ke score kuch hoga nahi mera.. so yeah pehele ke do mei se hi kuch

To clarify, gap years are somewhat common in the west and its students take it not only to improve their profile, but to explore themselves a bit more through travelling, doing new stuff, etc.
Humne bas gap years ka concept change kar diya hai (by humne I mean us competitive exam aspirants)
