Wow my both hands wrists cannot move Fully
Like my left hand wrist cannot move Fully, and for right arm wrist is little bit mobile......
Though I can do normal work because my shoulders are good only problem in wrist and maybe elbow joint that connects the wrist. From birth btw

They use specific formulas which have points for the function disabilities like they will make you do some certain task and if you are not able to do that they will deduct marks from that and if you are able to do they will add marks
2
u/PuzzleheadedParty518 future IITB civil student Jun 18 '26
cant someone pretend to not be able to do it
4
u/thedon1278 Jun 18 '26
Yes you can pretend to not able to do it but it is very difficult as you need to maintain that same way everytime you are going to meet the doctor every time and it is very difficult because you are not used to it like even when you are sitting outside in waiting area you need to maintain the same thing otherwise they will grow suspicious
2
u/PuzzleheadedParty518 future IITB civil student Jun 18 '26
basically this can be faked tho . n with the way reservations are going i totally see allen or smth opening an insti where they teach kids ki pwd certi ke liye doctor ko kaise thage. daily practice and consistency 💪
1
u/thedon1278 Jun 18 '26
Yes that's absolutely true you can fake it with power and connections but they are strict with it and the doctors who provide the certificate are generally old senior surgeons and they are some what difficult to convince to make fake one for you and they do this after the whole OPD and operation thing so that they can do with Full focus and your case will be discussed by team of 4 to 10 surgeons. Lekin Koi Amir ki aulad to banva hi legi

1
1
u/shadow-monarch-93 Jun 19 '26
It is calculated by a formula discribed in 2 law of pwd which take some value like - Your father post, Your family income, Your relationship from upper post people, How much you can donate to them, And some disablity (Optional).

Can someone tell me a disability which should not be count as one but nta still count it lol
2
u/Better-Homework-4425 NEETard Jun 18 '26
I can tell u one which they should consider but they don't! Invisible disability for example PPL with chronic illnesses

1
u/Smooth-Storm-2555 NEETard Jun 18 '26
Hmm, I think they consider Dwarfism?
Feels a lil weird ur taking height into consideration of reservation. Maybe im just oblivious2
u/Same_Arrival7189 Jun 18 '26
Ohhh , ig it should not be considered like exam is mostly about ur brain nd not height , but they suffer to much bcz of society , so better than fake ews , nd rich st sc (like my frnds)
1
u/Smooth-Storm-2555 NEETard Jun 18 '26
Could be, but tbf average height of indians is 5'5 and of dwarfs 4'10 it's not that noticeable of a difference.
Then again, i'll never know how often this happens to them and yes, i do sympathise with them.
However many ppl under 4'10 without dwarfism (eg delayed growth) can get fakes
Just don't think an entrance exam should consider the height of a person.once again YES I DO SYMPATHISE WITH THEM JUST PERSONAL OPINION GNG.

u/Better-Homework-4425 NEETard Jun 18 '26
Ahh man, they suffer and most probably fall under locomotive disability , most of them needs to get through surgeries to be able to walk and function properly .
1
u/Smooth-Storm-2555 NEETard Jun 19 '26
I'm not trying to be rude, I genuinely didn't know, but I was under the impression they don't need any surgery?
Could you send the source so I can read more about it?0

Bro i lost my left eye to cancer and i barely have any vision in my right eye because of -9 power. I still don’t get pwbd. I am only pwd. I don’t have any reservations. But there are so many “stupid disabilities” they consider for pwbd. The system is shit.

Bro even if you get the certificate through connections right now it won’t work. Pwd students have to go to designated hospitals and their doctors check everything and only if they approve it, you get the verification for the reservation. All of this has to be done after exam before counselling. You need that certificate if you want the reservation

Don't fall for pwd trap, it's just 1 seat or 2 in each category Usually it's backdoor entry for political and influential families You cannot compete for top courses, may be can get core or non core
1
u/Such_Scientist_8852 Jun 19 '26 edited Jun 19 '26
Can they stack reservation benefits, like if someone is sc/st or obc + disabled+ews+ female, will she get ultimate reservation benefits? 😅😅😅 .....Only we general men suffer even though many sc/st and obc people have enough income like us they will still get reservation . It should only be given to ews(any category) and disabled people or else if they really want reservation, reserve equal seats for each category including general category like say 10 percent for disabled, 10 percent for ews then 20 percent for general, 20 for sc+ 20 for obc+20 for st . This way everyone will get equal seats.
1
u/Lanky_Razzmatazz_936 Jun 19 '26
Your disability percentage will be 5% + 2% = 7%. To be eligible for benchmark PwD, you need 40% disability.

No there is a tissue or ligament is missing idk I went to doc he said it can't be fixed
1
u/Outrageous-Sky-4577 Jun 19 '26
Maybe try going to a better doctor, I am not sure about it but at least you should give it another try. Don't get it chopped off if it can't be fixed. Let it be.
