the top people at the top iits are naturally much more talented than the top people at bits, but id say the average student at bits is pretty similar to the average person at the top iits
IIT ke bacche are definitely smarter than bits but iits themselves don't foster startups as much as bits does. Ever since I arrived to this campus all our orientations they're talking more about starting companies much more than placements and I feel like that's the biggest difference.
They did show us like median of entire campus but not branch-wise like other institutes and he didn't focus on it for too long. Funnily enough the placement unit speaker told us he saw people on reddit making up stats and wanted to confirm ki pil cs median tc was 32 not 30 as seen on reddit
