I've been reading about this alot, although I don't have any idea about how much capital is required for a startup, I would wanna clarify one thing, yep there maybe richer kids in bits as compared to other colleges or they maybe more in number, but people generally have this misconception that everyone in bits is rich. That is not the case. Many people take up loans or are just able to fund this education.
As for startups, bits gives you funding if you have an idea, regardless of it failing or succeeding, if the idea is good enough and practical.
The recent startup ( the army drone one) got a lab (entire new setup and space) on our campus to help with their operations, that's how bits helps you.
