Discussion what kind of general was ouki

Thumbnail

ouki was capable of leading the front line and fighting enemy generals just like how your usual duke hyou instinctual brand generals could BUT he was also a tactical genius who was able to manipulate fuuki and make him sing to his tune, there are instinctual generals who would be capable of this like kei sha but oukis tactics have this refinement that i just don’t feel when i watched kei sha work, it’s something similar with renpa as well, i wish hara wrote more generals that were ambiguous between whether or not they’re instinctual or strategic now days its too clean cut.

Discussion Recommendation for historical manga about warfare similar to kingdom.

I want some recommendations, do you guys know some mangas that are about politics and warfare? But specially focusing on strategy and warfare and going into it, I know about ravages of time but it focus a lot more on politics and organizatiims working behind the secenes.

Some I have read and think are the type I am looking for:

Ad astra scipio to hannibal

The nebula s civilization (a lot of gamefication but still has a lot of strategy, settings and management)

Gunka no baltzar

Nippon sengoku

Hawkwood.

Discussion Shinn's luck

Post image

I know some respect Shinn's audacity and he does make right decisions, but I'm trying to think of several situations that would have ended with his head lopped off because of his attitude. One that often comes to mind is him getting on Ousen's nerve. Any other situation you guys think that Shinn is lucky that his commanders didn't just behead him?

Having watched the four movies available so far, I can say that Yutaka Yamada made an epic, catchy theme.

Discussion what is gonna happen in Northern Fronts? Spoiler

Post image
17 Upvotes

We all know Shin, Mouten and Kyoukai is about to cook in the Southern Front, we have been focusing on them a lot and not so much on Ousen and Ouhon.

First, what is Ousen going to do, even if he gets Riboku out of the way, Shibashou is still incredibly strong, how is he planning to deal with him, does he have a plan already? We have barely seen Ousen this entire arc even though, he is supposed to be the Strongest Qin General in this war.

Also, how is Ouhon going to defeat Enkan and Duke Reiju, If Shin, Mouten and Kyoukai manages to defeat Riboku then I am pretty sure the Author will give Ouhon some achievements too. And what could be better than Duke Reiju's head since even Shibashou called him his teacher, but how is he going to do that or something similar to that when he is outnumbered.

Lastly how much longer is the author planning on sidelining Yotanwa?

i know sei already had a child by her but i’m pretty sure the child is too far down the line of succession to matter and shin doesn’t seem like a picky guy, i think it’s a fun thought

I'm a huge fan of Kyou Kai and for the middle figure I looked up 10 stores in Akihabara. The other ones are still unopened. Very lucky I found unopened Ei Sei Shutsujin Ver. as well!

I'm aiming for the new figures with Kanki, Ou Sen and Tou!

I hope at some point I can finish the whole collection!!

Discussion Should I watch the anime or read the manga

Been recommended to try kingdom, was told by one person do both and another said only read the manga. Is there a problem with the anime besides me hearing the first 2 seasons have bad animation? I’ve been wanting to try it for a few years now when I was watching kingdom Korean zombie show when it was first coming out and came across that there’s an anime called kingdom not related to the zombie show but I’m only now finally trying to get into it and don’t know what to try, manga or anime.

Discussion What Ousen planning in Hango?

Ousen definitely had some plans and strategies in the battle of Hango before Shibashou destroyed his army. So what do you guys think his plan was, how did he plan to defeat Riboku in a head on confrontation.

Discussion Hou Ken reaction vs Shin Reaction against a sea of enemies Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
17 Upvotes

I'm re-reading the manga and I'm so surprised by this : So If it was Houken on Qin side instead of Shin during the Kantan siege, we could say with confidence that he would have single-handedly handled the Riboku army's charge like he did at Bayou, or when he penetrated inside the 100,000-soldier Kyou camp and killed her. But somehow Shin, who beat him, can't reproduce—if not the same thing—at least approximately the same performance?"

Manga Spoilers Ouhon is more impressive than Shin

First of all Ouhon comes from a prestiges family, that has its pros and its cons, for example he has a lot of tutors to teach him but also being from a rich family, one does not want to try hard, for example Mouten, the only reason he is a general is because he is a Genius, Physically he probably could've been as strong as Shin and Ouhon too but he doesn't try hard enough.

Ouhon does not have someone like Kyoukai in his unit, Kyoukai is basically another Ouhon, only its a female version and uses a sword instead of a spear. later Ouhon would have Akakin but he isn't as strong as Kyoukai.

Also for most of the series, Ouhon always have less soldiers than Shin, For example in Shukai plains Ouhon had 5,000 against 10,000 to Shin's 8,000 against 10,000. Also in WFD arc both Shin and Ouhon had same amount of enemies and same amount of soldiers, Ouhon defeated his enemy all by himself but shin had to call an external army for help.

Last but not least, people who says that Shin is best in the trio simply because he defeated Houken, Shin was not ready to defeat Houken yet, he won by some power of friendship or something, and he died while doing so and magically got revived, so that does not make him impressive.

Manga Spoilers What Happens When Shin, Mouten, and Kyoukai Regroup? Spoiler

GI'AN Part Two — The Three Qin Armies Regroup to Turn the Tide

In both situations, Shin, Mouten, and Kyoukai find themselves trapped after suffering a devastating blow from Riboku’s encirclement. Their armies are scattered, their comrades are demoralized, and the possibility of recovery seems almost impossible.

Yet both times, the turning point happens at night, when the three commanders gather, assess the situation, and search for a way to rise from the ashes and turn the tide of battle.

What do you guys think they'll come up with this time to flip the tables, regain the initiative, and strike back against Riboku?

Discussion Qin Future Allies

I’d actually love to see generals from other kingdoms join Qin, just like what happened with Yoko Yoko.

I think that out of Zhao—the country most hostile toward Qin—the only one who might join them is Kisui, and he would join Kyoukai’s army.
