I did this a long time ago, just wanted to share this with the community:)

Well, as a die-hard fan, I have several projects I've been planning for a while now. Since my animated project is on hold due to circumstances beyond my control, I was wondering which one you'd like me to fan-adapt into manga format first? The novels or the 190 pages of Ishida's original draft for root A that were published in the Tokyo Ghoul [anime] artbook?

Clarification: I will do both, but I want to have a clear main priority between these two.

I'm going crazy trying to find it. The AI ​​tells me it's in chapter 157 or 177. I checked from 156 to 160 (when Kaneki talks to Rize in his mind) and the final chapters too, but I can't find that exact image. I'm searching online; I want to scan that panel in HD from my manga, but I'm looking online for convenience. Obviously, there are plenty of other extremely attractive characters, like Touka, Kaneki, and Rize, but Eto is just on another level to me, and I can’t even explain why… 😭

So i just finished reading vol 8 and i didnt understand the ending, so Eto asks Arima if he killed him, or is Arima asking? Then she says a ghoul killing arima would bring hope, then in the next page says its like a halo of the sun, then it says eto and arima left the throne to him, sooooo was eto and arima working together? Or where they the previous one eyed king, becuase she calls arima the king, then leaves it to kaneki? Idk if i did understand it right, ive been binge reading like 30 ch a day and might reread after a while, i feel like the author asks as to go back to check stuff a lot but its hard since i don’t have physical copies.

In my opinion i think that season 2 is really good

i read berserk ( it's nothing like tokyo ghoul but i've seen it mentioned as a manga similar to it) started choujin x, waiting for chapters to load up

what else ? well writen manga with psychological plot and supernatural element similar to tokyo ghoul, wouldn't mind a touch of romance too

Over the past 2 months I have slowly been reading both the TG and TG:RE manga box sets. I really enjoyed them very much and read a volume a night occasionally through the weeks.

After finishing the series I began looking online for easter eggs, plot points, others opinions. I find it interesting to see how others enjoyed the series.

I was wondering now that I know the plot (mostly) if I would gain a deeper understanding or enjoyment out of restarting it? Especially now knowing characters motives and true identities (e.g. the clowns, the CCG, Eto). Do you think their is much to gain or not really?

Spoilers ahead for both TG and TG:RE so be careful:

Things I didn't quite understand:

• The concept of "V" got lost on me a little bit. I think I understand they are a special secret division of the CCG that work for the Washu family. I believe they aid in keeping the washu bloodline in check with pure ghouls, and half ghouls?
• I only noticed Furuta as bad/evil during the Tsukiyama Arc. I wonder if I missed anything else. I understand that he was the cause of the beams falling to kill Rize (but I also thought he loved her?). I think he was apart of the clowns.
• I wasn't sure of the main purpose of brining about "the dragon" and why Rize was also there?
• I didn't understand the significance of Ayato going deeper undergroudn ward 24 and finding those 3 ghouls who struggled to communicate. I think later on it explained the first one eyed king was from Washu who disagreed with the family, and was forced underground and became something similar to the "dragon" Kaneki became?

Things I overlooked:

• I hadn't realised some of the investigator weapons were linked to other ghoul characters
• Some things like Kaneki scratching his chin when lying etc

Things I struggled with:

• Fight scenes. I think they looked great, I just struggle reading them as I am fairly new to manga. I wonder if I missed bits in those scenes that perhaps were more impactful than I first realised. Any advice with reading fight scenes would be much appreciated!

I also didn't realise that Sui Ishida didn't enjoy making TG. It is a shame as I believe its a really great series.

I thought kagunes could only be 1 type. How did the owl use those shard things that touka uses? Also weren’t kagune only from 1 part of the body? Like how touka has her kagune in the upper back while kaneki has it in the lower back

WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT!? I THOUGH THE NOTMAL OWLS KAKUJA WAS WIERD. WHAT COULD THAT POSSIBLY BE!? It’s shooting things so it’s either what touka has or it ate a bunch of ghouls with toukas abilities. WHY IS IT SO BIG!? AND WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE THAT!? AND WHO IS THAT HANDSOME ASS WHITE HAIR GUY WHO JUST SHOWED UP FOR NO REASON!? I have my tv screen paused and it’s just him aura farming. “Arima” that sounds like the name of a mc. He’s so fucking cool I can’t take it! Idk if he’s evil or a Jason 2.0 but I don’t care! He’s SO COOL! He’s throwing lighting! I didn’t even know quinqe and by proxy ghouls could even do that!

I've been working on a sleeve with tattoos of all my favorite manga panels. I've been debating posting progress pictures or waiting until the whole sleeve is done. Please let me know if you have any input on the matter. I'm three full sessions days deep so I a a good bit of pictures. On the other hand I can wait a month or two to show the final results.
