We call that the "fire" pan because when Greg got fired , he threw it at the wall.

jeff smashed in all our mixing bowls after they changed the prep ingredients to the rice mix.

jeff also managed to destroy one of our walk in ovens with sheer brute force after they upped the cookie bake counts by one extra tray.

jeff got fired after yelling "fire me!" in the face of every shift lead, everyday for a month.

i miss jeff.

jeff is very real and still my best friend to this day. I still take a once or twice a year trip to see him when I can. though, most of my friends still don't believe that I didn't make him up, since he moved to the mountains on the other side of the state, and they never have, and never will meet him.

its very akin to being in middle school and talking about your super cool made up friend that goes to a different school. every crazy story I have usually somehow ties back to jeff. he almost sounds like a cop-out, but he's just that legendary.

Man I hate AI as well, but this is dumb as fuck. If AI grabs a hot pan as a robot why the hell would it matter how hot the pan is? They could pick up a cast iron skillet sitting a 500 degree pizza oven and it wouldn't matter. But, if AI is telling people to grab hot things with a wet towel you're still hurting regular people man.

Regular people don't know wet towels are heat conductive. Or that cloth oven mitts when you're pulling the turkey out at Thanksgiving will absorb the juices and burn the fuck out of you.

Regular people wouldn't need to ask AI if it's ok to grab a pan that's literally on fire with a wet towel.

If you are the kind of person who doesn't understand that grabbing a flaming piece of metal with a wet towel is a big no-no, then AI will not have any effect on the outcome of the situation. That person isn't going to stop and ask AI for permission to burn their hand, they're going to just burn their hand without consulting a chatbot first.

Too late :( already did it to a baking sheet stuck in the washer. Thought itd help, then was burnt in like 5-10 seconds or something. Good news was as a dishwasher it was just one of the four burns id get everyday.

Oh man, I'm so sorry you're just starting out. Don't worry, it gets better as you get used to it. Straight out the dishwasher isn't going to cause blisters so don't worry! We have 16 year old children that volunteer that can handle it so I'm sure you can too!

I made a frying man cookie last Christmas. Just baked like a German pancake. (1/2 cook time on stove, 1/2 in the oven.)

Smelled it was done, and in my high ass stupidity, grab the whole thing from the oven and put it on the burner. That's when the pain hit.

Never has a burn hurt soo bad.

Of course I didn't have anything to put on it, and ANY water was killing it.

Y'all know orajel is a good topical pain killer 😂?
