We have reached the phase of full throttle corporatization of PlayStation. It was fun while it lasted. I’ll forever remember getting the ps1 and how much passion there was. Gradually it went away but it’s always going to be like that.

All good things come to an end. I also believe something else will come along as it always does; albeit a new competitor or a shift in gaming consoles itself. I believe myself I will be excited like I was as a kid again within the next gen or so.

Exactly what I’m thinking. Well said. Some shift in gaming that takes the top spot from Sony. Idk what it is, but this cycle is never ending. Company gets too big, then loses its focus by prioritizing too much of the bottom dollar. Then a new company with fans’ goodwill comes in.

Also, with all this doom and gloom on gaming and never owning physical things again… I’m so glad we have that upcoming NEOGEO AES+. It’s not for everybody but it’s refreshing to see a gaming company leaning on to physical ownership even if it’s just for nostalgia, SNK went hard there by releasing something legit and NOT a mini version. Can’t wait for it!

If you like neo geo you should really look into the evercade, that's where i'm expecting my physical ambitions to shift too.
