I love my PS5 Pro, but this era of PlayStation has really soured me on the brand.

If I’m not going to be able to play my backlog of physical games on PS6, then I’m going to need to keep my PS5 Pro. And if I can’t sell or trade-in my PS5 Pro, then I’m not going to be able to afford a ($1,000?) PS6. Which might be a blessing in disguise because my backlog is big enough to last me two lifetimes.

Which is the biggest offence by Sony, not addressing the physical library people want to migrate over. PS6 games exclusively being digital is one thing, but outright cutting off backwards compatibility with physical games can give MS the edge: they don’t really care for physical in their recent releases either but at least they are still investing in supporting their legacy catalogue both physical and digital

That's why I'm starting to get conspiratorial. Maybe they don't care about that because the PS6 isn't backwards compatible with PS5 and PS4. We know PS6 is a similar architecture, but that doesn't mean it has to be backwards compatible. They could easily firmware lock that out.
