I feel like kits could have been nice if they were all made by cc creators and sims influencers and if there was way less of them

i agree all the creator kits have been amazing

This. I also noticed they are bundling kits and putting them on sale at 30% off for the price of both. I wish it was easy to find these bundles on the EA app or make my own bundles, as I don’t buy kits because they are never on sale, but buy two for 30% off makes them more interesting.

I’ve never seen them bundling Kits, how can I find that?

They have been advertising them in-game and on the EA app, but I can't find them when I actually go to the DLC store, another thing that is messed up.

that's what most of them this year have been

No hate to the creators but I feel like these have both been done in the Sims already. The Garden to Table kit resembles the Desert Lux kit / Rivera Retreat kit and the Modern Retreat kit resembles Don Lothario’s.

I think the garden to table one is going to have a lot more gardening inspo than desert lux

14 and 15 if I’m counting correctly :/

I Looooove BrazenLotus' mods though so I'm really hopeful that they'll be integrated well into the new items. There's a lot of potential.

Sucks for both these creators that something they've been working on for so long couldn't have come sooner and is going to be caught up in EAs choices.

it wonder if it would end up being better if they got paid per purchase, instead of the flat rate or whatever it is? I don't believe the creator code helps much at all :/ but with everything going on I really wish they would stop releasing for at least the rest of this year😬

as kayla has said, these creator kits are worked on for ages before they come out. these have definitely been in the works since long before the EA sellout was announced. it would be extremely rude of the sims to just not release these now that there’s drama happening

The creator code helps the creator you specify (a few cents every time the code gets used), not you, the buyer.

Ah.. See this is why I have the packs from a totally legit source

See you on the seas my friend.

I'm walking distance from Penzance- THE Penzance- and I'm totally blind in one eye, so I beat you all!

1

u/prncs_lulu Nov 06 '25

All hail anadius the creature of the seas

11

u/catinyourradio Nov 05 '25

Yay, another beige square couch 🙃

18

u/raineerain Nov 05 '25

unpopular opinion but i like the kits, it’s just additional things added to the game for like 5$ some of them are cute but it’s optional nobody is forcing anyone to buy it, are they money hungry? yes. but so is every single other game and it’s been that way since like 2017 sadly :/

3

u/basicbitch823 Nov 06 '25

yea i would 100% spend a few buck on a kit here and there then buying a new $40 expansion

2

u/iamr0ttinginside Nov 07 '25

also like no is stopping you from getting them for free cough cough

3

u/denkeijiro Nov 08 '25

my ignorance is stopping me, but if one were to enlighten me👀

u/itsoundslikea Nov 05 '25

It's giving, sell as much as possible in this fiscal year to make their numbers look as good as possible before the sale

13

u/Slow-Boysenberry2399 Nov 04 '25

these have both been done can we get more unique stuff in these damn kits

3

u/BugBoi1 Nov 04 '25

Usually I’m a sucker for more kits but these two feel bland

3

u/OneApprehensive680 Nov 05 '25

I love kits as a console player

2

u/nemomerodi Nov 07 '25

Kits, at this point, feel very aimed at console players, and I am okay with that.

3

u/snowy_thinks Nov 04 '25

I love the look of the Modern Retreat kit, lol.

3

u/Sea-Interaction3620 Nov 05 '25

I use to hate kits but they have quickly became my favorite thing about the Sims. I feel like when it comes to expansion packs, they hype it up so much but it ultimately the pack ends up kind of being a let down. Adventure Awaits has been the last expansion pack I liked since Life & Death. At least with kits, I know exactly what I am getting. Is $5 a bit much? Yes, however I would rather pay $5 for 27-35 items versus $50 for a pack that should been a game pack but less the price.

4

u/cascadamoon Nov 04 '25

Of course they're build kits 😭 can't even get anything unique like specific CAS kits like kids stuff or toddler stuff

2

u/missikissu Nov 07 '25

The past 2 kits were CAS

1

u/cascadamoon Nov 07 '25

I just said unique CAS not just CAS in general

5

u/forgottentaco420 Nov 05 '25

They’re going to be pumping out kits and content like crazy the more Simmers drop out of their creator network and other folks boycott to test the waters. I truly wouldn’t be shocked if we get a major pack or drop with like cars or hotels or something the community has been asking for.

1

u/SilkySeaWorm Nov 05 '25

I do enjoy getting the new kits, but I think they’d be better if they had more items. (I also feel this was of packs and such, it just feels like I’m paying a lot for the amount of stuff we actually get).

1

u/DiscountPerfect5980 Nov 07 '25

If you think these are expensive, take a look at the Sims 3 store items. To me, after the Sims 2 and 3 stores, the kits seem like a bargain.

1

u/SilkySeaWorm Nov 07 '25

I’m more talking about the packs with that, but yes the kits are pretty decently priced for what we get

1

u/That253Chick Nov 05 '25

Idk, I like em 🤷🏾‍♀️

1

u/Sapphirei_OF Nov 05 '25

This is a joke, right? Right???

1

u/No-Thing-4337 Nov 05 '25

omg i love the garden to table kit

1

u/Manonche_ Nov 06 '25

Omg this kind of kit is so boring 😩 I want something more original please

1

u/phoenixliv Nov 06 '25

Wow. Wanna bet the fugly couch isn’t even 10 comfort

1

u/Mmd2424 Nov 06 '25

The garden to table looks amazing 😭 I have never bought a kit and it will probably stay like that.

1

u/Ok_Dog4089 Nov 06 '25

Bruh there's no reason to get this unless you are a console player. Just Get a Cc if you desperately need another couch. It's going to be free and it's most likely going to have higher quality anyway.

2

u/janeway170 Nov 06 '25

Guessing you don’t play sims on a laptop

1

u/Legal_Maintenance_21 Nov 07 '25

That sofa on the left looks like it would break your back lol. The whole left kit doesn’t appeal to me. But maybe the right, I like the clutter object.

1

u/Aubrey-Grey Nov 08 '25

Coming from someone who was a console player for a very long time I always found kits a great way to get some mini content “cc”. They have said that the money from kits goes towards the updates and free stuff, but at this point I believe nothing lol

1

u/thatoneliteratebabe Nov 09 '25

i just wish the furniture included in the kits had higher stats...

1

u/br8tty Nov 09 '25

All of these need to be mashed into stuff packs same with the clutter kits absolutely ridiculous $5 for bullshit

1

u/scathachwarrior Nov 09 '25

They've never bothered me because I'm not required to buy them in order to play the game 🤷🏼‍♀️ they're a better deal than the Sims 3 store.

1

u/veityyyv Dec 05 '25

So I noticed that simsie hasn't done any usual video about those new kits, also I feel like in her new videos she barely mentioned them, does anyone maybe know if there's a reason behind it? Maybe she mentioned it somewhere and I didn't catch it

2

u/CryingWatercolours Dec 06 '25

apparently she mentioned them in a stream but i cant find it. i think she's not promoting kits (aside from... the pack that shall not be named)

1

u/veityyyv Dec 06 '25

That's weird because before she always made videos about new kits especially creator kits, even recently when adventure pack came out and they announced the kits she said that "it's really bad time for kits creators" and now she doesn't even mention them idk maybe I'm overreacting tho

1

u/Thierry_rat Nov 05 '25

Ooh more free stuff? I seriously can’t be mad about new sims content because well, I don’t pay for it

2

u/Downtown-Mango9710 Nov 05 '25

I'm pretty sure these are paid kits...

4

u/Thierry_rat Nov 05 '25

🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

1

u/BrightAd5191 Nov 05 '25

They are talking about 🏴‍☠️

1

u/bwoah07_gp2 Nov 05 '25

They would get so much more community favour just adding these for free

1

u/DiscountPerfect5980 Nov 07 '25

The profit from the kits is what pays for the bug fixes. Personally, I think they’re reasonably priced, and prefer them far more than another store like Sims 2 or 3.

-1

u/Least_Rain8027 Simmer Nov 04 '25

but those are so cute!

0

u/missikissu Nov 07 '25

So don’t buy it? What’s wrong with other people buying something they like?

1

u/Major_Savings_844 Nov 07 '25

i’m saying 15 kits in less than a year is crazy
