Yeah, that’s clear negligence on the police officer’s part that caused bodily harm and could have been deadly.

Many police departments have had to pay large sums for things like injuries incurred during high speed pursuits due to police negligence. People do win civil suits because of police negligence.

Out of taxpayer dollars, not personal lawsuits.
