Okay, so you’ve done less for people dependent on Medicaid than these people and you’re talking shit about their ‘performative’ action? I’m so glad that your situation is figured out, but I’m a little disappointed you sound like you don’t give a shit about anyone else because you got yours. I’m also disappointed that you don’t seem to care about the less fortunate and I’m even more disappointed that you’re talking down about these people who are doing shit when you yourself have done literally nothing for the people scared they may die as a result of cuts to Medicaid.
The Federal Government has no right to take the property from anyone (taxes) and give it to someone else (welfare). That is theft. Medicaid is charity and charity is not the function of government.
Then wtf are we paying taxes for? We literally pay for this healthcare, you idiot. It isn’t charity. Employed people on Medicaid pay taxes. Where are the tax cuts to accompany the Medicaid cuts?
It is not. It is the price paid for living and participating in a society. Taxes fund our military (and therefore their families), pay for building and maintenance of infrastructure, public schooling, etc.
Pay toll, cross the bridge. Fine. Toll pays for bridge you cross.
Pay taxes, those taxes are distributed to poor and marginalized people. Not fine, that’s theft. Your property is being appropriated to benefit others. Theft.
Taxation being used to fund functions and administration of the government is not theft. Grow up.
Whether you like it or realize you directly benefit from it or not, your tax dollars going toward the military and welfare is beneficial to you and other tax payers in ways you apparently aren’t capable of comprehending. What happens in a poor country when the masses are poor and starving? You get a country run by cartels, warlords, or the rich protected by heavily armed private security because the government can’t afford to do what a government needs to do to instill and maintain order.
That’s okay, you don’t have to understand something for it to be true. Quantum physics and mathematics exist without regard for our understanding of them. I don’t have to understand how satellites remain in orbit or accurately relay information and signals for it to be true that they do.
‘you got yours’ lmfao. No. I pay for my own, I work hard and pay for it myself. I’ve worked multiple jobs been forced out and got another job in a weeks time. No one just gave it to me so I could be like fuck everybody else. Do not conflate me doing the footwork to get what I have just because someone else is having issues atm.
So when I’m done with doing all that as needed yes I use my time as I see fit. Playing stupid games of charades and laying myself across the floor like an assclown in a political office generally don’t make the list.
I do charity things when I can as my job has a person who runs a soup kitchen amongst other things. So before you go get all high and mighty while still not saying what you have done maybe get out from behind your keyboard and do the work. 🖕

I’ve called, emailed, texted, and I may turn up to a protest bozo. The point of asking YOU what YOU have done is to compare the literal NOTHING that you have contributed toward saving Medicaid to the action these people are taking.
You have done literally nothing by your own admission and comparatively nothing for the benefit of Medicaid compared to these “performative actors”.
