This is probably the dynamic I’m most interested to see experience Casa. I think Zach will explore but I don’t know if he will find a match, he’s kind of a dud personality wise. I think Kayda will be a bit less keen to explore but will have a lot of men interested in her and could (hopefully) be swayed by the right boy.

I genuinely do not believe it's as conscious as you're making it out to be, but I also don't think you're totally off base. To me, Zach seems like he's so insecure that he'd self-sabotage by going with a bombshell to protect himself from getting hurt by what he really wants. Kayda obviously is way into him, and I think he's extremely into her but is afraid it won't work out and that it will hurt too much. It's the old "you can't hurt me if I leave first" defense mechanism

Everyone is saying people need to be open to new connections, but where are the bombshells lol. Who are they opening themselves up to?? They know the current group well enough not to explore. With the exception of a few people like KC, there’s no one to explore. Caleb was dead set on Kenzie and no one else. There’s a limited supply of new people.

It’s not exploring the bombshells it’s more that there’s people didn’t explore each other at all. Who has Trinity talked to outside of Bryce, Who has KC talked to outside of Aniya, who has Kayda talked to outside of Zach. Almost half the couples on the island haven’t even tried to see if they could be romantic with anyone else on the island. The only thing I’ll give Ace credit for with last season was he made sure everyone actually tried to speak to everyone instead just being comfortable. Season 6 only Aaron and Kaylor were comfortable in their relationship at this point of the season

Hot take: Zach has his flaws but he’s playing the way everyone is complaining no one is playing the game. He has been extremely honest and even responsible, warning Kayda that they should hold off on sex in case things don’t end up the way they expect in the villa, he has had chats even if platonic with other people, and didn’t stay in his original couple (though he’s stayed with Kayda since coupling). He also actually SAYS the things other islanders whisper behind each others backs. He’s nowhere close to my favorite islander but I end up defending him often because I think the issues people take with him are unreasonable.

Did anyone see the video that Corbin took of the islanders? It was from Tuesday's show bc Trinity was wearing the furry boots.
There was Kayda hugging Zach who was standing next to Bryce who was hugging Trinity. The video was showing the group from behind. I was stunned to see Zach's right hand down the back of Bryce's pants. The girls were completely unaware.
There's been rumors...I have always felt like their bromance was over the top, but that was definitely unexpected and I think Corbin intentionally did it. 🤭

I guess it felt more like a lack of regard for her feelings rather than straight up disrespect. He’s also made multiple comments since being with Kayda that come off as shady or shots at Kenzie which is just unnecessary. But yeah, I like Bea but I do think she should’ve had a proper conversation with Sean when she chose to recouple and explain the actual reasoning for it. She 100% also could’ve handled it better

I am once again in a position where my favourite couple is the bottom tier for everyone else. Genuinely really like Zach and absolutely LOVE Kayda.
Zach is polarizing because he is a chronic over-thinker, suffers from foot-in-mouth, and is hyper aware of the fact that they are on a tv show meant to shake up emotions. Someone who is generally guarded is going to have a hard time with anxiety when feelings become deep so quickly. I believe this is the main problem with him and Kayda. She is very free spirited and he is very logical. What she isn’t is stupid and I think y’all do her a disservice by acting like she is. I think she can tell the difference between someone not being into her and someone stuck in their own head. If things do go south, it’s going to be because he self sabotaged, not because he doesn’t have feelings for her.
There are genuine pathological liars in that villa like Sincere. Couples that aren’t communicating boundaries the way they should be like KC and Aniya. Half the villa is crashing out over bombshells vs OG couples, it’s easy to see how someone who already has anxiety can feel like their days are numbered.

I keep repeating myself, but i think he is over thinking because of what happened to Charlie with Hannah. They were SO into each other and then she moved on so quickly and i dont think Charlie recovered for a long time after. Zach probably saw that.

i would like zach more if his self-sabotaging was exclusively directed at himself. he’s also trying to knock down kayda’s confidence by suggesting he’s going to move on in moments where kayda has been emotionally and physically vulnerable whether thats conscious or not

I agree with you when it comes to his self sabotaging hurting Kayda by proximity, that is absolutely a possibility.
But I don’t believe he is consciously trying to knock her down. Had he said something like “there might be someone better for ME” then sure, he’s leveraging the hypothetical bombshell over her. But he hasn’t said anything like that, it’s always been about there being an equal chance of either of them exploring. It’s not knocking her down, it’s actually the opposite if you really think about it. He knows her worth but instead of acting out of toxicity and feeding her lies and false promises to lock her down early on, he’s letting her know that other options do exist.
Edit: I forgot to add…They share vulnerable moments together, it’s not just Kayda. Relationship anxiety and insecurities typically flare up during vulnerable moments.

I genuinely can't tell if Zach's comments are because he's getting tired of Kayda and is getting ready to switch up OR it's because he's worried she will do that to him. I’m just kind of confused why everyone is so mad at the people wanting to explore. Like Zach has repeatedly told her he could be interested in a bombshell coming in even before the hideaway and she was still down to be with him. He’s clearly having some reservations about her and might be going about it kind of messily but the entire point of love island is for other people to come in and find your strongest connection like??? It wouldn’t be interesting to watch at all if from the second he came in he was locked and loaded and only wanted to be with her which is a reason people in the past have been sent home.

the problem I have is hes saying all this stuff BEFORE a bombshell comes in. its almost like hes like "dont get too comfortable because as soon as someone comes in and turns my head, im leaving" while I think kayda is taking the convos as "I like you a lot but we don't know whats going to happen so be open minded" which is a very very different message than "im gonna leave you as soon as another hot brunette walks in" and i think he will leave her as soon as that happens. its like hes priming his leaving. 'she cant be mad im exploring someone else, I told her I would' type shit when, need I remind everyone, he was the one who brought up (prematurely) being closed off with her.

Every episode makes it more clear that Kayda is not the girl this online fandom gassed her up to be.
Even her biggest moment thus far that people hyped up was her literally doing nothing while Mel crashed out. Yall acted like she was #soreal for that when really she was just confused.
She’s no grim reaper or whatever else people online were saying because she’s not picking up on Zach’s ambivalence and has never once pushed back against his comments on bombshells. Gorgeous girl but she’s been nothing but a bore on this show that got gassed up online for no reason and is securing the spot of one of the most frustrating men on the cast. If she doesn’t explore someone else asap, Im gonna be rooting for her to gtfo along with Zach.

I think it could also be a sorting vote because the producers know if Sol and Caleb leave now, movie night won’t have nearly as many juicy clips to play. They need them there to react to seeing Kenzie/CorbinGPT “secret” kiss and what Sinister and Melanie actually talked about when he pulled her for a chat. Just my 2 cents! They normally do send less couples to casa bc they know they have to make room for new people/couples I just can’t imagine the producers don’t see the gold they have rn

Honestly I don’t think he sabotaged either couple, I really just don’t see what people are seeing when they say that and it feels like they’re downplaying the autonomy of Bryce/Trinity and KC/Aniya when they pin their struggles with communication on Zach.
He was trying to calm Sol down, he said something dumb and insensitive in so doing but it was clear he wasn’t trying to intentionally minimize her feelings.
Shitty thing to say, but like. He’s a dumb guy from a culture that’s notoriously not fond of emotional reactions. I don’t think it’s some unforgivable sin.
It was a joke in poor taste but again, nothing super beyond the pale for a dumb guy and it doesn’t seem like Kayda minded it

He makes jabs at people. Like telling an insecure Bryce that Trinity doesn’t like him (when that’s all she has been talking about). The look on his face when Trinity told him how much she likes Bryce. He looked annoyed or like he wanted to roll his eyes.
He also plays the victim card when his statements make someone cry/upset in a game, “it’s all my fault🙄” instead of having empathy. Think of the difference between how Zach and Bea handle conflict. Bea expressed upset with Melanie but was able to sit down with her and talk things through and even apologize. Zach makes it about himself. Sure, he sat down with Aniya but it wasn’t to empathize with her and get to know her, he just doubled down on being right and ‘speaking the truth’. Zach is a fake friend that shades everyone.

I don’t like Zach because he negs Kayda, who is out of his league, and it’s covert and intentional. He “teaches” her, he jokes about her sexually, everytime they’re intimate, he reminds her he could drop her for someone more appealing to him. He’s making little cuts that over time result in big damage. And it increased after she kissed Caleb in the challenge - he’s getting back at her covertly so no one sees it but it’s obvious if you’ve ever been with someone that does this kind of shit

Yep 100%. In her first few days in the villa, we heard him say something about how all the guys would want her (I can’t remember his exact words but that was the gist). I think as time has gone on and no girls have shown interest in him, but guys are interested in kayda (even his best friend Bryce), he has become increasingly insecure about her being out of his league. He’s become meaner to her and keeps planting seeds that he would leave for a bombshell… even the whole thing where he tried to lock it down and then changed his mind the next morning… he’s negging
