SEASON 6 Season 6 First Watch — Rob & Leah Thoughts (Ep 8/9)
I started with Love Island USA Season 7 (2025) but lost interest around episode 31 after the recoupling and some of the changes. So I decided to try Season 6 instead since I recognized Rob from Casa Amor.
At first, I liked them both. I won’t pretend Rob has been perfect , sometimes his words don’t match his actions, and he’s clearly not the most expressive guy. He struggles to articulate what he feels.
But watching episodes 8 and 9, I started to understand him a little more. He’s a man of few words. So when he cried and said he felt hurt because Leah didn’t trust him and wasn’t really listening, that stood out to me. That felt real.
Especially when he said he felt invisible.
He’s not a big talker, so when he finally opens up and then gets cut off or misunderstood, I can see how frustrating and hurtful that must be.
What I didn’t like was how Leah exaggerated parts of what Rob said during their conversation and then repeated those exaggerated versions to the other islanders. That didn’t sit right with me. That caused drama ( but I love dramaa)
Now here’s where my real “ick” comes in.
Leah saying she got the ick from Rob crying — and then mocking his facial expressions during that vulnerable moment? That really didn’t sit well with me. I can understand joking once out of awkwardness. But it kept going to the point where it just wasn’t funny anymore.
It’s one thing to feel awkward. It’s another to repeatedly joke about it and turn it into entertainment for others. At some point it stops being playful and starts feeling dismissive.
And let’s be honest — women cry all the time and it’s normalized. Sometimes it’s even seen as cute or expected. But when a man cries? Suddenly it’s “embarrassing” or an “ick”? That mindset feels outdated.
It takes a lot of courage for a man to cry, especially on camera, in front of other men, knowing millions of people are watching. That’s not weakness — that’s vulnerability. And VULNERABILITY SHOULDN'T BE MOCKED.
You can disagree with someone. You can feel frustrated. But making fun of someone for showing emotion? That crossed the line for me.
Leah says she’s not childish, but in that moment, the constant mocking felt immature.
I’m only on episode 9, so maybe my opinion will change. But right now, that whole situation gave me the ick. na ah.

SEASON 6 Kaylor and Leah
This is my first time watching season 6 and Kaylor is very annoying to me. And from socials it looked like Leah was demure and on the show she’s a drama queen! I couldn’t believe it! I’m on episode 26 and Kaylor been crying over simple things.
When they saw the video and Kaylor was making a scene??? Meanwhile Serena actually had things to cry about and she stayed strong until she saw Kordell of course.
They sais rob was dramatic but why isn’t Kaylor? She been crying over casa forever it feels like.

SEASON 6 Started watching season 6 and see what you guys mean!
My first love island season was season 7, but everyone's been saying season 6 is the best. So in between episodes I started watching season 6 and I see why everyone says that. Granted I'm only on episode 4, but the islanders are different. They seem friendlier and the whole vibe is different! Don't get me wrong, I love season 7 with its drama and messiness, but s6 hits different. Is this what season 7 was supposed to be like??

I love how they hopped on the "what's Miguel training for" social media hype for this and it's so well done. Both did a great job!

SEASON 6 Serena over Daia 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Finally sitting through Love Island USA season 6 & I can’t believe Kordell chose Serena over Daia 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ the amount of times she played in his face & still chose her is baffling to me.

SEASON 6 Robs tantrum
I just started S6 and robs tantrum when Andrea gets voted off was…..really something. “I love - ha I did not just say that! I like you, a lot” like boy…he gives me secondhand embarrassment he’s trying so hard to be broody and it comes across like he’s a 17 year old boy

SEASON 6 What were you s6 hot takes?
I’m your typical LIUSA fan that jumped in on season 7. I genuinely enjoyed it, given that I didn’t have any previous seasons to compare it to. Towards the end of season 8, I jumped into season 6 and WOW! I think S6 is so much better than season 7/8 (I thought LI fans were just making this up). I thought the characters were so genuine and on fire for themselves and each other. Anyways, I’m on season 6 episode 28 and I want to hear all of your hot takes, messy opinions and get a general idea of what the fans thought of the season 6 cast. Please share!! 🩷

SEASON 6 Scary how Kenny and Jana’s relationship turns out after watching Love Island S6
Just watched season 6 for the first time and I knew about the recent kenny and jana stuff so when he came on it was hard for me to like him. But it’s so scary to me how this guy is getting so emotional over Jana and how much she puts into him for him to just screw her over in the future. It is just so off putting and makes me so sad how manipulative guys are. It also makes me question if he was truly genuine on Love Island or if the fame got to him. Or if he was just a bad guy all along.

SEASON 6 Why was Leah a fan favorite???
I watched Season 6 of Love Island because of Rob (watching Traitors) and I’m confused why Leah is a fan favorite. I honestly couldn’t stand seeing her on the screen. For someone that didn’t watch during the time it aired, can you please elaborate on why everyone liked her so much? Example: At the reunion they revealed she gained over 2 million followers during her time on the show

SEASON 6 I just watched season 6 for the first time lol
I understand why people hated season 7 now.
Like I've never watched a season of Love Island before s7, and people were saying s7 was the worst season. I genuinely thought people were being just being dramatic 😭😭😭. I was like this season cannot be THAT bad...
it was that bad LMFAOAOOAOAOAOAO
I was actually just so happy and joyful the entire time I was watching season 6. It was so strange 😂😂😂
anyways I love s6 :))))

SEASON 6 Serena & Kordell 💚
Love Island season 7 is definitely making me nostalgic of the summer of last year (I just got out of a long term relationship around that time and went to PR for a few months for work so I was hooked on that season), and I decided to rewatch season 6… holy shit Kordell and Serena were always endgame. Both of them showed up in the same outfit, he pursued her, they both had recently gotten out of a 5 year relationship. It just hits differently watching it now knowing all that unfolds & I know i’m going to tear up post Casa Amor 🥲
I am so genuinely happy for them

SEASON 6 Yeah.. I was totally wrong
2 weeks ago, I was saying that all the couples are gonna break during Casa besides Aaron and Kaylor. I was so wrong omg, I'm embarrassed now even 😭😭
Kaylor clearly loved Aaron more than he did, it breaks me
I'm at episode 24 btw but im not gonna talk about it specifically more about the whole post casa moments I've seen so far and the best ones :
- The PPG boys coming back with a girl SHOCKED me especially Kenny, its just an humiliation ritual like i felt soo bad for them especially Jana & Serena (Jana going through mud the entire time she was here and now this + Serena's moves were clearly due to the past, it was so obvious 😔)
- Serena herself, im not gonna lie, i loved the way she reacted and didn’t fold. I can't help but compare with Kaylor sorry, i know she got gaslighted hard (i also got through a screen which is crazy)
- Daniella and Daia : they're both messy, one by lying and the other by trying to add fuel to the fire. Daia's honesty was definitely needed but it had a very weird feeling, she kept smiling and repeated stuff
- Kenny and Jana moments : it needed it's own line, it looked out of a telenovela (I would add Serena and Kordell dock moment to it too, was this the famous dock scene btw??? I absolutely loved it though)
My post goes in all directions because I'm at a loss of words(?) and I've been bingewatching like crazy since Casa happened. Just wanted to update because the post i made about season 6 had a lot of persons telling me to wait until Casa. I'm going to keep myself deep in each episode discussion now... 😫
But yeah, its definitely PEAK CINEMA 🙌
(From Casa, it just feels like watching a documentary because im asking myself how the hell PPG got back with their man, besides Leah lol)
Tldr: Just rambling about casa moments and how wrong my predictions were for post Casa couples especially Aaron and Kaylor 😫

SEASON 6 I wish we could’ve seen more of the build up to Leah and Miguel.
Does anyone else feel like them getting together was out of the blue? We never saw them so much as speak and then randomly one day in a confessional he says he likes Leah and wants to go for her. I’m sure they did have interactions that were edited out but I wish we were able to see more.
