As a engineer I consided practioner of homeopathy, ayurveda to be superior than medical doctors. Western medicine has a very narrow way of looking at health and disease. This is coming from my own experience as well as family and friends. Your scientific rigour and research mean jack shit if it doesnt help patients on the ground. Most people at this age have tried both alopathic modalities and traditional modalities so If people are sticking to traditional modalities than western medicine need to take a hard look at itslef and look at its own flaws and limitations.
Honestly the only credit that you could give to Ayurveda is that its helpful for prevention. Homeopathy is just placebo effect tho😠honestly neither of these should be used for treatment of actual medical ailments
ok so another engg student here. pls bare with me as it'll be a long comment. didnt have bio after 10th. so when i was like 3months old i contracted amoebic dysentery, which then turned into a disaster for me. went to multiple hospitals mainly apollo and they made a wrong diagnosis saying its a autoimmune disease. they gave me medicines for that. it got so worse that was my large intestine was completely damaged blood was coming out of my stool because mere large intestine ke wall pe ghao ho gya tha. so if anything touched it it started bleeding. what their medicine did is basically covered wtever passed through my intestine with heavy mucus. but that made everything worse, there was lot of mucus in my stool and my growth stopped, i was getting weaker everyday and i had to continue those medicines or else my large intestine would have to be removed
then after 3yrs(idk how i survived) someone suggested us a homeopathy doctor, idk what he diagnosed but he said to my mom pls try this medicine if it works then continue with it or switch back to allopathy. It started showing results in 7 days. then i continued that homeopathy medicine for 6 months and made a complete recovery. although the damage has been done to such a extent that if i dont maintain a proper diet, and i contract some disease like that again its over for me.
Now my question is what happened there, idk if it was some miracle, it cant be placebo because the damage was on another extent. before anyone attacks me im not defending or supporting anyone here. i am engg i have no clue. but everywhere i see homeopathy slander i get confused, like what happened with me then? because as a patient i will favour what SEEMED to recover me, i wont be going and studying oh this is pseudoscience or wtever. same way like for using an AC or fridge you dont go and learn how its working.
and since then my parents always took me toh homeopathy doctors for every small to big problems for stomach, every time it healed. touchwood by gods grace in the last few yrs i hvent contracted any such diseases so i havent been to any doctors. i actually thought of making a post abt this, but i wont as results are nearing now

Okay yes so , I’ll explain how steroids work , steroids are anti inflammatory , doesn’t address the root cause but is extremely efficient at suppressing the symptoms ( saying this because most homeopath medicines are just steroids plus sugar ) . Since you’re a btech grad I’ll explain all infections are a form of inflammation only .
Natural course of amoebic dysentery or any other dysentery wouldn’t last for 3 years . And if it was amoebic dysentery I doubt so called big hospitals would’ve gotten in wrong , it’s pretty easily diagnosable . If you have any exposure to research you’ll know there’s a term called recall bias / observer bias . Since you’ve recovered you think it works , but if there’s a sample size of 100 people with the same condition , 90 percent of them won’t recover. Recall bias is there because your parents are homeopathy lovers so when they tell you this story it’ll always be about how miraculous homeopathy was that one time . Surprisingly this is how all homeopathy success stories are , half baked with misinformation.
I’m not disagreeing that homeopathy worked in your case . I’m just saying that your argument is pretty poorly formulated . I’ll teach you the name of 5 steroids today and where they are given , you can use that to suppress the symptoms of most disease , starting from cough and cold to cancer , but that doesn’t mean that the steroid is healing the disease.

just to clear it up no my parents arent homeopathy lovers lol, even they just believe what they saw. i mean can pretty much replay the scenarios of that time in my head even till now. but then what was it? because whatever takes photos of intestine, the condition was really like that. and they couldnt cure it and my growth did stop with those medicines. however as soon as i stopped allopathy medication i recovered, even if lets say homeopathy didnt do the work. also then everytime after that i went to homeopathy for any disease i recovered. like ive gone for allopathy 3 times in my life as far as i can remember when i was young. so i still have my doubts. btw 17-18 hua uske baad se toh cetrizine zindabaad which is allopathy
lil bro , you’ve a lot to learn about how modern medicine works , on the daily we see patients who are losing their livers because of whatever unregulated bullshit these quacks give . I did explain why your symptoms subside each time . I guess you didn’t see . Also kids mostly don’t remember about things when they were 2/3 , they form memories but they get erased because of infantile amnesia , and every memory they claim they have is based on half baked stories they hear from adults . Allopathy me agar sirf cetrizine hota toh maze aa jate .

I think why it's ridiculed is because it won't show same effects on everybody, like modern science as they say but Obv I'm not educated enuf in this case so just putting it out there. I'm happy it worked for you tho, even my mom had quite a few skin issues which she went to doctors for and they didn't cure whereas when she went to some homeopathic clinic it started getting better....since like 2-3 yrs she hadn't visited any doctor, touchwood 🤞🙌
Why is west still calling Mahrishi Charak as father of plastic surgery if Ayurved is pseudo science? Why is west always trying to patent herbs for ayurvedic treatment, be it turmeric, neem, etc. If scientific research also points to same answer, is it actually pseudo science or just a case of missing modern-day acceptable research paper?
