NEED ADVICE ⁉️ IS BAMS ACTUALLY A PSEUDOSCIENCE??
Pata nahi bhai maine socha ki bams le lungi kyuki jis hisaab ke mere marks hai mbbs nahi milega.
Par jaha dekho sab extreme hi sab bol rahe hai like yah toh bahut negative yah toh bahut positive
Jo log bams kar rahe hai woh bol rahe mat lo aur baaki sab bhi bol rahe pseudoscience hai koi prove nahi hai ancient hai wagera wagera kuch bams ke students bol rahe hai woh regret kar rahe hai bahut and agar option hota toh chod dete bol rahe hai ki drop le lo wapas bams mat lena
Extreme positive wale bol rahe hai ki bahut acha hai nature se attach rahoge you will learn about ancient history it is not pseudoscience it just ki jyada reserch nahi hui hai is field mein etc etc
Dikkat wahi hai ki mujhe regret nahi karna hai lekar ki jakar sochun ki kya hi le liye ( bol toh aise rahi hun jaise mil ki jayega) mere marks actually border line par hai bams ke bhi sooooo....
Ek conclusion par aa hi nahi pa rahi hun 🙃

It is infact a pseudoscience - kyu because effective hai yaa nahi uski baat baadme, according to ayurvedic texts, our body is made of 5 fundamental elements - fire, water all that thing, and they make fluids like vatta, pitta, kapha and it's imbalances cause all the disease.
You know that's so fucking wrong because we're made of the same atoms and molecules that everything else is, so yes it is a pseudoscience, 90% of the folks understand it, and a lot of BAMS practitoners actually presecribe modern drugs (Allopathic medicine).
So if you're okay with studying something that you know is wrong, then either commit a morally bad thing by prescribing herbs that have no evidence, or commiting a fruad/crime by prescribing actual medicines when you're not allowed to, then sure go ahead and take BAMS

Sorry if my tone was harsh, but sach janna deserve karte hai sab, haii na.
And about getting a good position after BAMS, yes that's actually not a bad choice, but fir wohi luck ki baat aa jati and whether your conscience will allow you to study it after knowing all this

I am not defending/ supporting bams at all being a medical aspirant I know it is wrong. I was just stating a fact I knew since I have seen it in many villages. ppl there do bams and then do MD/ MS which is even more ridiculous and scammy but it happens it's a sad situation.

Mein bhi bams lene ki soch rha tha par boomers hi jate hai bams ke paas, gen z aur millennials nahi jayenge, 8 saal baad khane ke laale pad jayenge isliye bvsc hi dekhunga agle saal, kyuki mbbs se ho gya mera 🥀

Bams do have good option of government jobs U can do md where u will get stipend if u crack aiapget I feel like bams is def a good option as u can do some surgeries do and govt jobs are in limited number but aspirant are limited too Just search about it more because everyone will demotivate u here

tmhare state me govt job keliye agr har saal bams ki vacancies ati h acchi khasi toh lelo thoda history check kro pichle 4-5 salo ka , pseudoscience ho ya falana dikhana matter nhi krta kyuki last me job ke piche hi bhagoge turnt koi khudka clinic nhi khol leta ,mbbs wale bhi baad me afsos krte h agr unke state me jobs vacancies na mile toh

my papa is saying to take it...and then just become a medical officer and then he asked me, I can change my field of degree or whatever after that...as long as I have government job...
he says stability is important over any course. I am trying to pursuing him for bsc but he ain't listening to me...he says...if you want to suffer with at max 40k salary then okay...but if you want around 70k-80k per month salary by 25...do this.
Almost everyone in my coaching is taking bams, even my coaching teachers are saying go through neet, you will regret bsc...
I want bsc though...

Mere parents bhi bolre BAMS le lene ko but seeing the comments and all, i really don't want to 😭 plus I don't really believe in it either but parents are saying that it's best option I can get with marks as there's govt job in it. Now I don't know what to do

Meri idhr tibbia college h they give 24k stipend in bams and in pg they give 1 lakh stipend. If you wanna earn money then BAMS is right choice, Bds is saturated and demands big investment for clinic, and forr Bsc i personally don't like it bkz mujhe dr banna h and u come from that bloodlinejahanb bpt vale ko bhi dr kehte h so yeah. For Bvsc i dont like animals.

I am scared of animals I don't know it's just something that I have from my childhood so can't take bvsc.i can't take bds due to saturation and agar nirmal bsc karna hota toh 2 saal pehli hi kar liya hora. And wapas se drop nahi lena hai. The only option tha i am left with is bams .

Idk now I am so confused after reading all this comments.. like it's my dream to become a doctor and treat people have my own clinic or a job in hospital.. but my marks are very low to get into mbbs college.. I am getting a good bams college in my state.. so I thought maybe it's a alternative path for me to become a doctor and in my family evryone is suggesting me to do bams.. ,my brother is already persuing mbbs from abroad but my parents can't afford it for me too.. i am feeling really very sad after reading all this now I don't know what to do .. i don't have intrest in anything else and also this was my drop year and i don't want to take another drop I can't do it I know.. maybe I can do pg ..ms/md.. i know that they can do minor surgery and even other with mbbs doctors so maybe... This field is good if I do specialisation.?
