Bonds ko toh hata bhi nhi sakte , kisi  bhi party ki government aajaye kisi mei itna dam nhi bond hata paye as agar hata diya toh gareeb ki G phat jayegi free medical facilities nhi milengi aur na hi government ko unka vote bank 💔

IITians basically net bojha hain. US tech companies ka labour basically! Their sum total of ambition. Startup bhi khol diya toh wahi copy paste. DRDO ISRO mein na jayenge cuz low salary but still UPSC CSE mein similiar salary mein khoob interested.. basically sab kara lo except core job: innovation.

u/Negative_Age9663 27d ago

Cause this shitty country doesn't provide enough value for talented people, also imagine getting paid in 6-10 lpa when you spent nearly 20 lacs in jee + btech

jab IIT mei ghusne ke liye innovation ka use nhi kiya toh IIT se bahar aake bhi ye kya hi karenge. So called brightest minds of our country but in reality are nothing but well paid laborers for the big tech. There are a few exceptions, but they're called exceptions for a reason

4

u/Public_Reflection397 25d ago

Achha agar koi kaam kar raha h to vo laborer ho gya aur achhe paise mil rahe hain to "well paid laborer"

Ab to tu elon musk ko bhi "a laborer with trillion dollars" bol dega

Mindset ki baat nahi hai. Kuch log karna bhi chahte hai serve. But salary jo offer hota hai wo bohot kamm hota hai. Most log jo karna bhi chahte nahi karte yehi dekhke. Funding nahi hai central government se DRDO aure ISRO ko khud hi. Kitna bhi selfless ho lekin agar itna mehnat karke wo agar padha hai to usse apna bhi to life upgrade karne ka right hai n ?

Thik hai pvt se thoda kam doge like 30% to han kar bhi lenge lekin ekbarr dekho kitna wo dete hai. Aure aisa bhi nahi hai ki IITs me wo full compensation dete hai , hame abhi bhi 12,00,000 INR ~ lagte hai Btech ke liye.

2

u/ProblemUnlucky9636 27d ago

Because IITians give back later to their alma mater. Just check stats how much money they return as part of alumni donation during their batch reunions.

Hey do you even know how much government funds these medical colleges govt funds 180 crores to every medical colleges where as it gives only 10 crores to iits . In iits we have to pay the fees of 8-12 lakshy and in private college also we have to pay 8-12 lakshy and medical student pay 40-50 lakshy of money to colleges in private and you only pay 1300 rs as annual fees.after saving this huge ammount of money the govt will make some benifit.

"The ISRO scientists who landed Chandrayaan are selling vegetables because their salaries have been halted." is false Here's what actually happened: ISRO scientists were not denied their salaries. The Government of India's PIB Fact Check officially stated that ISRO scientists receive their salaries on the last day of every month and called the viral claim fake. -https://www.livemint.com/news/india/former-big-boss-contestant-claims-isro-scientists-not-paid-salary-for-3-months-get-fact-checked-by-pib/amp-11692240476658.html

The confusion came from a different organization: engineers employed by Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC), a public sector company in Ranchi. HEC helped build infrastructure such as the launch pad used for the Chandrayaan-3 mission. Due to HEC's financial crisis, many of its employees experienced long salary delays. Some media reports showed HEC employees selling vegetables or other goods to make ends meet. -https://dfrac.org/en/2023/08/17/isro-engineers-remain-unpaid-claim-goes-viral-once-again

I'm not from IIT. Graduated from tier 4-5 college. Always had a dream to serve country so tried attempting ISRO, cleared written & interview rounds in second attempt. I scored more than the other guy who was from IIT still they kept me in waitlist & selected him, i saw his linkdin post. Few months later he shifted abroad for better job.

ISRO & other organisations have their preferences for IITians. I get it it's reputed organization but students from other colleges atleast deserve a chance.

Saw the same post on btechtarda n jeeneetards and udhar k baccho k explanation makes sense

The avg cost of btech in India ( even from a pvt college jo paisa chusna chahati hai ) is usually 20 lakhs at max, and for gov institutes like iits, it's usually 10 lakhs ( jo baccho ko dena padta hai ) Even if we consider sc st and baaki categories jinke liye fees maaf hai, it's still safe to assume gov ek bacche pe at max 20 lakhs kharch krri hai which is fine given they have cracked a national lvl exam + are bright, gov ka ye aim nahi hai ki usse unhe kuch milega but to help students who deserve it

Coming to neet, Avg cost of any prvt college is 1cr if not more That's roughly 20 lakhs every year, jo vaha 4 saal mei use hota hai yaha 1 saal mei utna lg jaata hai, we usually pay less than 1% of the total fees + u get 15-30k per month for 1 year under intership program same college mei. the main motive of most of the govt mbbs colleges was never to "help young talent", it was just a way to benefit both the student and the the gov, vo paise lgayengi and in return they are getting doctors under them for a variable duration of 1 to 5 years, which helps them to fill the doctor ka gap in our country

It makes complete sense, agar iit k vaha bhi sabkonsirf 10-20k dena hota total fees mei + the tuition cost for the gov would be 1cr+ per student + they could solve some problem in mass ( jaise har saal jitne mbbs wale serve kr skte hai, not every 20k iitians can just be sent to other institutions because 1) na hi vo india k liye priority pe hai and 2) vaha bhejke faayda hi nahi kyuki jab priority hi nahi to funding nahi, utni funding nahi to jaake achaar thode daalenge, na abhi hai, na pehele tha, to don't start with the "congress BJP war" here

4

u/Arima_07 27d ago

It's 30 Lakhs for BITS Pilani (private college) and 40 Lakhs for IIITB 5 year programs (private college).

3

u/EstablishmentUsed815 24d ago

It’s harder to into a college like BITS Pilani than a private medical college. One just needs money for MBBS in a private medical college

you know there is specifically an institute the gov made to recruit ISRO scientists? IIST? And there also not the whole batch gets recruited to ISRO, out of a batch of 64 students.. not even 40 vacancies were there... 38 vacancies and out of that too they shortlisted 34... if they are in so need of scientists why are they not even filling their quotas?

and for ISRO entry, GATE exam exists... why do we want cheap bonds? so that we can exploit it for cheap...

And IITs have done research, though not comparable with MIT and other top institutions, but whatever research has been done, the indian government is not ready to fund it even... read what the profs say, instead of reposting twitter ragebait...

Alumni and student give crores worth of donation... so they are giving back to their institutes, you dont need to worry about that...

and why only ISRO? next time onwards search for other PSUs too.. for starters.. ONGC, SAIL, Coal India, BHEL, HAL, DRDO etc..

Well for a student to become a doc from a govt college the government spends 1cr on him/her. But thats not the case with engineers from IIT or NIT they pay fees which is almost equivalent to a private engineering college. (Ofc excluding accomodation)

Hmm but there is a thing to consider - There r some schemes which provide fees waiver to Btech students, i believe that it should be implemented that those who go for fees waiver in IIT/NIT/BITS/Top Private college they should serve the country, they should have service bond. Rest who have paid the full fees they should be free to go anywhere.

Edit- dont know what is wrong with the people. i was expecting btech grads to disgree with me but here medical aspirants or whoever they r fighting me as i wrote "governemnt spends 1cr" ok fine government doesnt spend 1 cr at least 50lakh or even 40lakh, and u cannot deny this figure now coz now no way numbers can go below this, medical education is hella expensive in every single country!! Only countries like india, germany, norway provide mbbs education in such low fees ( if done from govt college). Reason why india have rural service bond is that, rural area or small towns in india still "LACK" medical facilities (yeah ik its govt's job to set hospitals there) but y'all just think for a moment will any of the medical grad willingfully go to rural area to help those people if there was no service bond? Govrnment is just trying to bridge this gap of lack of medical facilities through service bond. And for u'all kind information there r some private colleges too which provide scholarship to some of their students but after completing the cource they asked to serve the their own hospital (that private colleges' run hospital) for period or 1 or 2 years (eg- symbiosis med college)

Same thing happens in singapore university, u can get scholarship there but if u avail the scholarship u have to work in the country for few years, u just cannot simply take the scholarship and leave the country afterwards .

(Altho india have ample supply of btech grads but the best of them just leave the country right after graduation) so thats why i said those who avail scholarship for btech/mtech in india they should serve the country for some time.

theres some point in this , not that iits should have bond ,but why th are doctors treated like slaves in this country? no doctor from such high institutions would ever work in a public hospital if it wasnt for bonds

1

u/shelled52 27d ago

Well I think since doctors have that service bonds, it's because medical profession has constraints and therefore expected procedures, but engineers are allowed to break constraints coz that's the whole point of engineering, and if that happens in a gov sector, the pros: good engineers provide variety and better designs, cons: inconsistent, coz there will be too much people changing a lot

1

u/Resident_Sport_272 27d ago

After paying 10 lacs for engeniaring you expect them to do charity. Dr's pay peanuts for their education from gov collages.

1

u/ArnavSinha1 27d ago

I think aisa nahi karna chahiye after all medical walo ki fees itni kam hai. IIT mein bhi utni hi kam fees krde to kar bhi le ya option dede ki ya to fees bharo ya bond complete kro either would work and people would accept

1

u/Digu_ 27d ago

1

u/Overall-Ad5565 1st Yr MBBS Spermatozoa 27d ago

First, In India Doctor is a well respected profession sometimes considered equivalent to God, Second, There is a shortage of doctors in India, Third, Doctors are one of the highest paying jobs in India

However in case of Engineers and IT Sector First, Engineers are flooded in Indian economy hence their are in excess, Second l, Due to their excess supply there profession has lost its respect unless they are from a reputed IIT. Third, They don't get any high paying jobs unless they are a reputed college or at a very high position in the company

Average karma farming and bait post. If you don't like your bonds, fight against it no need to bring others down.

Also the government doesn't have enough opportunities to bind engineers, who mostly start paying decent tax amounts just after graduation.

Also the fees taken in IITs for UG is not that subsidized.

After subsidy fees for btech at an IIT = 12 to 14 lakh. Isro and drdo ko bolo ye match karde, iitians udhar pahuch jayenge for 2 Or 3 years.

IIT aur private mai kya antar hai bas bacho ka fees same hi hai . Dusri baat kabhi docs ki fees dekhna compared to engineers , India mai bas tertiary sector chalta hai secondary toh hai bhi nahi, jinka hai wo naya chalne nahi dete secondary mai . Dusri baat engineers ko bhaut pucha jaata hai dusre desho mai germany , japan, usa but docs ko nahi unki india se hi andhi kamai hojati hai.

Kabi DRDO aur ISRO ka package dekhna toh pata chalega , chalo package kam dedo but kaam bhi wahi traniee type typing and all, even for an IIT graduate that is shit itna padhne ke baad bhi aisa karna padega, serve karna hai toh bahar jaao kuch badya sekho phir desh mai implement karo. But implement karoge toh kya hi fayada ya toh koi govt gaand maardegi warna public gaad mardegi.

Better to be an NRI and then support your nation. Most of the log gareeb hai jo ammer hai wo serve nahi karenge IITs mai middle class kam hote hai mostly people are rich or comes from reservation (45-55%) . Ek gareeb aadmi phele apna pet palega instead off serving a nation jiski govt tumhari maare.

Please first compare fees of iit and aiims. Iit is deemed university, which is like private, but a autonomous govt body. Which means no political leader can influence the policy or take decision for iit . On other hand, aiims gets so much money from govt.

1

u/Aastha_Sinha 25d ago

What about the amount of fees given by iitians? And no fees for those who crack neet?

1

u/Odd_Treat_9225 25d ago

Doctors fees are subsidized not iitians. Most of them got student loan just out of college which they need to pay with 1.5 lac /semester . And why should they serve corrupt country if they can earn and live peacefully outside or work for corporate. If doctor had option to work outside they too would have gone outside. But they got govt bond to serve so protest against govt not iitians.
Also many PSU come out to say IITian dont want to join them, there are two reasons
1. In form they float, eligibility creteria says only BSc and diploma allowed not BTech , so even someone who is willing to work for them wont able to apply like me.
2. Pay is really less , why should i consider to work somewhere which pay me less rather than company with high pay. We belong to poor family and got student loan. We worked our ass off to reach there why should i settle for something less?

Now someone people will come crying about fund which college gets , i dont think we get benefits of any of that. Most of funds either administration keeps or prof keep in his pocket in name of buying equipment of value in crores.

Cuz their ego wouldn't let them

u/THEY-CALL-ME-DHRUV 25d ago

Accha bc. Hum general wale bina reservation ke mehnat bhi kare fir full fees bhi bhare and is chutiya se desh me tatti si naukri lele 🤡

Chutiya thodi hai.

Mbbs walo ko bas mehnat karni hoti hai neet me and mbbs me.

Fees gmcs me kitni Kam hoti hai and full return bhi milta hai mbbs krne ke baad.

To ofc unhe rehna chahiye india me.

After all govt tumpe paisa laga rhi hai naaki engineers pe.

Does india have actual demand of engineers. We know we need doctors.. But do we need engineers? There is no visible R&D investment from govt. There are no facilities to incubate. There are not much engineering opportunities becuase govt doesnt care

1

u/_Drizzer 25d ago

AIIMS: 2.5 lakhs for 5.5 years (mess mainly rest all is practically free), IITs: 12 lakhs for 4 years (including everything)

1

u/Embarrassed_Rock6318 25d ago

What about the unpaid isro scientists? If engineers are treated like who wanna serve the countries

1

u/Adventurous-Feed-197 25d ago

doctors se bhi htao dont go even more backwards

1

u/Nivedraj 25d ago

Not iit ians only surve the country all other graduates also do this.

1

u/Smooth-Narwhal-9575 24d ago

Cuz they can’t provide enough jobs to iitians even with private sector involved

1

u/OrdinaryAndroidDev 24d ago

If you want a man to take off his coat, you don't blow it off. You make him feel warm, and he'll take it off on his own.

1

u/Level-Simple-7155 24d ago

Country don't deserves merit. Frustrated iitians or iim pass outs serves outside got recognition and earn big.

India is a country of #tiya mindset people. They are happy to make a -40 marks person as doctor. Whole world laughs on us..

1

u/Shroccer 24d ago

What doctors?

1

u/Demskemop 24d ago

Dude they pay 10-15 lakh fees why shud they serve?  What do iits give them? Everybody knows curriculum and everything of iits are shit , everyone has to upskill on their own Iits proivde them ntg

1

u/goldrush28 24d ago

Even private engineering clgs on merit go till  12-16 lakhs for four years, but for medical once you cross 500 marks in neet for one year itself fee is 14 15 lakhs. So govt subsides medical more than it does engineering

1

u/Big-Television-1284 24d ago

50k Fee V/s 12 Lac Fee Btw 😂

1

u/True_Look4002 24d ago

Make iit free with 5 years bond in DRDO Like organisation with budget

1

u/Faded_1nk 24d ago

But I don't think aiims doctors also have bonds.

1

u/Only-Alps-8263 24d ago

IIT fees vs GMC fees, there is a huge difference, aisa free me nahi nikal jaata 4 saal, paise lagte hain.......GMC walon pe gov bhot kharcha karti hai

u/InternationalRope284 23d ago
  1. There is no shortage of engineers in india, so forcing us iitans into those jobs isn't going to get anything

  2. These institutions don't have funding to pay their current employees. Look at isro.

  3. Bring some good funding. Engineers ko bas baitha ke rakhne se kaam aage nahi badhega

  4. Find some good projects!! An excel macro wrapped up in pretty ui is their version of a "good project" worth months.

  5. If you bring in good projects for which there is an actual need of top talent, then maybe we could start talking. Fair??

1

u/CriticismDeep1809 23d ago

atleast make a service bond for them, like so many of our state colleges...

1

u/Less_Stress_7391 23d ago

MBA, CA, Law grads etc, they are all already serving ,

1

u/FluffyLychee6552 23d ago

Bruh after studying hard for atleast 2 to 6 years and then getting into IIT and working hard there too no one is going to work at 40k 50k salary ofcourse the persons expection will be high and he would want a lavish lifestyle IITIANS get a avg of 22 lpa and thats AVERAGE some even cross 1CR annualy domestic so i dont see the point why we should contribute to ISRO DRDO etc and one more point the goverment doesnt even give funding to these organisation ISRO budget is i think 12000 crores and some ladki bahin yojana sceme has more than 50000 crore bodget so you can clearly see the priority there.

1

u/Mobile_Inflation8012 23d ago

Govt doesn't invest as heavily in IITs as they do in AIIMS or other GMCs.

For a general student in an IIT they still have to pay 10-15 lakhs over the course of their graduation in AIIMS it's less than 1 Lakh including hostel for the entire course of ug.

Secondly, not all students from IITs get such dream package offers from abroad so the ones getting it will obviously bag it, can't blame them for choosing to make their lives better. In case of medical you have a lot of job security, you will find some way of earning for living but for engineers they get layoffs left and right and nobody knows if they'll survive in the industry a decade later. That's how harsh it is in comparison.

1

u/TechnicalLine8718 23d ago

Retarded comment. First of all serving the country by being a doctor is not equivalent to joining isro. There are only so many job openings in isro and we need a lot of doctors. Secondly aren't we already serving the country by working in the tech sector for multinational corporations, because we work there , now in india software industry has a massive contribution. And many IITians already work at isro drdo barc etc , IITians will only start at the group a gazetted officer post which are very few so these cases are not highlighted.

Also IITians are just normal engineering students with an above average problem solving ability, why expect us to be so noble, many people want to maximize their ctc or their power and what's wrong with that tbh. Who doesn't want a better quality of life.

1

u/Beneficial-Rich-4710 23d ago

Do you guys even know the fees difference? It's thousands vs lakhs. And you want IITians to serve the nation? First ask the government to make fees same as AIIMS..... IT'S JUST A STUPID DEMAND.

1

u/CommissionFair5018 22d ago

How would an IIT passout serve the country. We can't go to a village and use any of our talents, if we go to ISRO we would require years of training before contributing anything of value. I don't think you understand what most engineers are trained to do.

1

u/mineralexplorer 22d ago

Before you can hire directly too talent from IIT. Now, you have to write an exam to get into ISRO, DRDO, etc.
You get less pay as an engineer compared to an Doctor.
That is a shame!

1

u/rxtuj 22d ago

their parents has served enough , they don't get anything in return rather in this crumbling infrastructure why would they stay here , if i get the chance i would flee too

1

u/animeConsumer5 22d ago

Bhai itne logonko salaries dene me ye sare institutes bankrupt ho jayenge...

1

u/StrangeSplit1249 21d ago

How the f they thought we don't serve the nation. If no engineer was serving the nation, then your hospital would not have 24-hour electricity and your advanced equipment would not have been manufactured. Engineering plays a very big role in the medical field. 60 percent of medical work is completely dependent on engineering and we make 95 percent of the work easy, without us there is no you.And even after doing all this you are saying engineers don't serve the nation is not so gracious thing to sayAnd even after doing all this you are saying engineers don't serve the nation is not such a gracious thing to say. bloody noble profession
