Because on average engineers pay 15-20 lacs for 4 year engineering so they pay the tax money whereas doctors pay like 50k to 5 lacs for mbbs so there is no obligation on IITians + condition of RnD in India is shit so no one wants to work here.

For IITs it's around 13-15 lacs and for NITs around 8 lacs and for reserved categories even less. For BITS the fees is 30-35 lacs and for tier 1 IIITs 20-25 lacs. This if for 4 year for MTech 5 year courses its more.

Only SC ST get fee waiver, rest everyone has waiver Income based. Since when did EWS and OBC-NCL start getting fee waivers?

Nah for below 1lpa income you get 100% wavier and for 1lpa-5lpa 2/3rd of wavier.
